Land Rover Defender door won’t open - lock and latch solution

The driver’s door on my Defender wouldn’t open. The latch was stuck. Other videos had folk removing the hinges and cutting bits off. I found an easy way to open the door using a small screwdriver. Once opened I thought I had to replace the latch but another video identified a possible problem. A simple bit of lubrication sorted it. No spend or complex disassembly required!
