So I just got done all windows in my bug.. get the window in first, put the string in the trim slot all the way around. After the window is in, push the chrome trim in while pulling out the string. Took 15 to 20 minutes total each window...

Thanks for your video, I'm about to do this. I've been playing wit ACVW's for 25 years. RUclips surely changed the game.

When I have done cars in the past I had better luck putting the trim piece in the rubber first. Then put the rubber on the glass. Whats your thoughts? Thanks for the videos.

You should try early ghia trim that is the hardest by far.

Is the trim really necessary ? Or can you put the window on the car with just the rubber seal? Thanks in advance

hi Misael, you can just eliminate the use of bright molding altogether and just use the basic seal. If you choose to use the deluxe trim kit, you cannot install the moldings after the window is installed on car. West Coast Metric has the Cal Look rubber basic black window rubber w/o groove less molding to make things easier. Export models destined to the US market were full deluxe sedans using all bright trim.
