    Her understanding of the position comes to her so easily that she barely needs to think. She burned off half her time looking around the room.

    • @Fusspilzsammler1
      @Fusspilzsammler1 6 месяцев назад +42

      I'm pretty sure she is processing while looking around. Others are spinning a figure their hand or staring at the board and she does this. Might help her to visualize the situation by not looking at it too much. When she turns back to the board she usually immediately makes her move.

    • @christinemurray1444
      @christinemurray1444 6 месяцев назад +25

      She's still thinking about the position while looking around.

      @@Fusspilzsammler1 I don't know if she's processing while looking around. Focusing 2-3 steps ahead takes a lot of willpower. So kids look around because they can't (don't have the ability to) focus on the board. That part of the brain (the prefrontal cortex) doesn't fully develop until your mid 20s.
      If she does make a move that's a few moves ahead, it's probably because she already faced a similar situation before. Most actions/decisions with children are based on instinct, a neural pathway solidified by practice. Notice how when she does focus. That's intentional. But it's limited. We each have a limited daily supply of "willpower" in our brain every day.

    18:41 h2-h4 is typical Alisa's move. Bold, logical and effective. Chess is a game of tempo. That's the beauty of Chess. And Alisa demonstrate it really well.

    • @MauFilm7
      @MauFilm7 5 месяцев назад +14

      @@Amiraldz Alisa wants to capture Black b4, but her White e3 pawn is vulnerable and can give Black a tempo move. So Alisa offer to sacrifice her h pawn instead, which is less dangerous.
      Black denies and keep threatening the e3 pawn, but Alisa keep forcing with tempo move to cancel the threat.
      Alisa is really good and really strong in such play. This one is simple and logical. But there are many examples of more complex and beautiful moves from her.

    Fascinating how little time Alice actually spends looking at the board, mostly brief, furtive glances, while her opponent stairs relentlessly at it, rarely taking his eyes off of it.
    Also, how easily she clicks in and out of the game, at times, more tuned into the goings on of the room, and yet she manages her time almost lock step with her coach opponent until the end when it appears she had been playing him for awhile. Stunning!

    • @midnight5597

      I think she is tuned into the game even though she is not looking at the board. All the scenarios are being played out in her mind. She may be able to focus better on the future moves when not staring at the board.

    2015 IM ? He declined a lot since he got the title . But I saw on tournaments GM who is playing now on 2200 level. He is nearly 70 y. o. and his goal nowadays is to get 65+ veteran special prize. Usually he gets it too . Even 50 euro prize is better than sitting in home and polishing his winner cups from 1980ies.

    The long think on a move like Qg3 sank his ship and i dont understand why after Nf5 he didn't play Qg4 i mean i understand why not Qg6 because of the fork but with Qg4 you are attacking the knight and after the knight moves or gets defended you can simply push b3 and have the bishop guard the pawn while you poke arround all the whites weak pawns with your queen.
