I think it is not for most of the people, but for me, it can provide me a choice to get rid of Google, have a collaboration with multiple devices is fun.
Huawei need to work with local apps abroad. Even Europe is wary of American domination in apps tech. If Huawei OS support local apps development in foreign countries, Huawei might get more support from foreign countries, while at the same time, it will hit the American tech. Two birds with one stone
i do not think EU will dare to diversify from US. they do not have the defence and rely on US, and a lot of little country against diversify from US, and Macron who have the ambition will not be able to work with these pappet of US.
I think the Chinese government is very happy about the gfw and its own internet ecosystem otherwise it will be much more hash to deal with the US technology sanctions
