      Thanks! BNSF likes to run these trains long for some reason. I guess to reduce the number that need to be run.

    I'm suprised NS didn't make this crossing a quiet zone since Madison Academy isn't too far from the crossing

      Yea. The crossing to the west of here is Shelton Road in Madison, which is a quiet zone, and the crossings in downtown Madison are a bit too far to be able to hear, so I wasn't aware that NS 738 had gotten so close already.

      I think it was the detection circuit messing up with how slow the train was moving.
