have been a fan of MF gear for over two decades - in the time when Anthony Michaelson had his say, the fact that this has only one balanced input is simply - a joke, an LCD display is an even a bigger one and the "made in Taiwan" is the greatest one ... and i haven't even googled the price yet so i don't throw up - but i can bet both my balls it's in the five figure range
How does it compare to the Original Nu Vista 800? I have the NV 800 and Nv CD, bought both ex demo 6 years ago at half retail, didn't think it was worth £9k for the amp back then. I'm using the Michi P5/S5 combo at the moment with the Nu Vista CD. My NV 800 is sitting around spare at the moment. The Michi S5 power amp, I say it a better amp for power handling at 500WPC with much more bass leverage especially when coupled with two REL Gibraltar G1 subs. However I wouldn't mind testing other DACs out, the NuVista CD DAC is as good as the Michi P5, but I prefer the deeper sonic signature of the Michi. The NuVista CD sounds great through it.
Lol when you put the glove on You said Nice.... You sounded like you were about to say it fits like a Glove 😂 And every time you touched the amp you touch it with you hand not the glove 😂
About 11-12K and what hum? Maybe you are referring to transformer buzz that can sometimes happen with high powered transformers when your mains is not clean from DC. According to MF the transformers have been improved.Try to use an appropriately rated DC blocker if your transformer is buzzing.
Still only 1 balanced input. Not good. Also those Sankens (which btw are Darlington arrays, not single transistors) are obsolete by now. Not ideal, in my book, for newly introduced devices.
MF have been using Jamicon caps for decades and their amps have always sounded exceptional and have always been good value for money. Capacitor snobs are mostly ignorant fools imo. In any case Jamicons are not rubbish. If you class caps in tiers A, B and C, Jamicons are most definitely tier B, not C.
@@razisn I think the point is that the amp cost over 10K so one would expect there to be top quality components. If I am a potential buyer, no way I would pay this much for something with chinese capacitors.
what a beautiful beast!
Very beautiful and great presentation.... !
I'm a Yamaha guy..., but would love to hear it with their nu-vista cd player.... !

Should have listened to the Unico 90 or 150. Much better sounding IMO.
Also uses higher quality internal parts and is less $$.Cheers!
when is the review coming?
10 transistors for each channel. what is the blinking orange light meaning?
These are the Nuvista tubes, warning up
what sort of UK price and is there still the hum that is there with the original
