- In this video bring us back the Honda CRV RE1 . Been awhile haven’t post anything on this vehicle.
I am doing a coolant change aswell as burping the system. I have used Prestone coolant Premixed for this vehicle because of the value here at my local store.
This car uses approximately 5 litres of coolant.

SOS for Honda Crv 2002-2006 use 5w20 (0w20 Europe) if u have 100.000 and under. If you have 100.000 up use 5w30 ( I searched every manual) i want to help for crv lovers. (Honda oil-Liquid Moly- Mobile 1- Valvoline- Elf-Total BEST BRANDS) reliable sources. And for coolant fluid use only Honda Genuine COOLANT (Type-2) OR blue coolants (Mannol, Zerex, Peak, Valvoline, Prestone)

I bought a used 2007 Honda CR-V but I don't know what brand antifreeze I should use since I bought it? What should I use? Do I mix? Does matter what brand.i don't know what previous brand was used?
Honda coolant is like there automatic transmission fluid... Unique to Honda and the Honda brand must be used exclusively. Anyone who says differently (Felix Dan) does not know what they're talking about PERIOD
Perhaps if some honda owners are specific and happy with honda brands by all means. Just buy honda brand oem products from dealership. But if u cant find a honda brands product anywhere from you local autostore just get an equivalent spec parts it does not effect performance probably just worn out faster than oem. :)

Mantap bro thanks for the ilmu you shared . What i want to ask is what if i only want to refill the coolant water ? Should i pour it into the expansion tank or pour it directly into the radiator bro ? Im afraid if i miss treatment this cooling system my car probably will overheat bro . Thats menyeramkan sekali bro.
For topping up fill the coolant into the expansion tank until Max line.
What happens if you overfill it just a bit? Since you don't wanna be low?

Hi RB how much fluid is dumped from the rad drain plug, all our partial from the system?
if i can remember it dumps around 5 litres from the radiator.
Aren't Hondas suppose to use the Blue coolant??
theres 2 type . blue n green. either one is fine.

Which antifreeze do I used for a 2007 Honda crv? I just bought a used car and don't know what specifically to use as far as antifreeze

@@robertonline6543 The brand autozone sells from their website are PEAK OET Coolant longlife 5 Year /150k Asia Vehicle (Blue)

Actually, that was bad coolant and it was replaced with more bad coolant.

Does it matter which antifreeze to use. Or can you mix? Also can you just add some more instead drain it?
preferably use the recommended antifreeze from Honda or similar spec. if the car is old and never replace coolant , i would drain the coolant n replace it with new fluid.

Hi @Felix Dan! Thanks for this video. However, my 2007 CRV heater is different from the phone that you have on this video. My is I have to turn my AC on then turn the knob to turn into heater. Also one question. Why is the coolant from the Coolant Reservoir doesn't go back to the radiator once the engine is cold.
Coolant reservoirs are required because engines go through cycles of expelling and absorbing coolant as they warm up and cool down.
@@FelixDanGarasiAuto But when the coolant from the radiator goes to the coolant reservoir, it never goes back to the radiator even when the engine is cold. I have to manual put back the coolant from the reservoir to the radiator. But I've noticed that there is no loss of coolant. Because when I put back the coolant from the reservoir to the radiator the coolant in the reservoir is still at the max level. Thanks for your reply.

Hondas use only the Blue coolant. Why are you using green???
For Asia region has 2 type. The dealers sells the green (2 years of life use) and blue for longer life up to (5 years of life use). I choose green with the similar spec oem fluid replacement.
Felix Dan But the manufacturer states Blue coolant only. The dealer is just trying to sell a product. Mechanics have always stated that you use Blue as well. Arent you worried about cooling system damage? By the way your video is spot on until the coolant issue. Also, get yourself one of the spill free funnel kits. It helps with the burping of the system.

permisi..kalau kipas terlambat menyala(menyala harus pakai ac) waktu suhu mesin normal apakah boleh menyalakan kipas waktu proses bleeding..soalnya kalo dibiarin lama airnya meluap keluar
tdk ap ap, Biarkan meluap saja nnti kalo ud gk meluap lagi tunggu dingin mesin dan bisa di top up kembali. tdk perlu hidupkan kipas AC.
soalnya saya baru migrasi dari air biasa ke coolant..trus masalahnya cooling fan agak lambat.
jadi kalau meluap..mesin dimatikan trus diulangi lagi ya?
Can I use prestone coolant for my mazda CX-5 2013? FL-22 coolant is really expensive
Awanda Sentosa yes u can use prestone green as they r formulated with (ethylene glycol) to work with aluminium based engines. So it is safe for mazda CX 5. 👍👍😁😁
So is a new cooling system and corrosion removal.

How did you get rid of the overfill?
I let it overfilled naturally then just wash it off with water afterwards. But if you have the antispill coolant filler tool it will be much easier and cleaner in the process of refilling the coolant.
Felix Dan I just finished burping it like in the video without the cap on and waited until the bubbles stopped, the car is off now, how long should I wait before putting the radiator cap back on?

Green are also fine just got to make sure it has the correct spec.
I dont thik so,blue is highly recomended.I preffer spend 2$ more and my oldy is happy sorry.

Masih bisa. Hanya perlu ganti lagi sesudah jangka 1000kms. Supaya coolant baru tersirkulasi dengan baik dan aman .
