On ground invasion the devastor should act like a factory. So tier one would produce small tank, tier 2 medium? Tier 3 strong tank.
I’m a little confused. The video is worded as if this is an upcoming feature, but the World Devastators have been available in their new form since the latest release (minus the tactical ability)

the update to the world devastator looks pretty cool. it would be cool if you could have a world devastator in ground battles and it be sort of like a defence mission while it eats the planet but for balance it has some big debuffs while it is eating. happy new year man and have a good year
I do hope that in a later update, you could use the Silencer-7 to create a new T1 World Devestator, but only if you lose your old one.
Its like a Von Neumann machine. I guess that was how it was more powerful than the death star. It basically can go through exponential growth.
This thing was basically a mobile Star Forge.
Nah, Star Forge was still better because it could take hydrogen and helium and use nuclear fusion to produce whatever elements or compounds it needed.

@dukoth6552 yes! It was actually more than a bit frustrating that he never mentions the mod by name and just assumes we know.
The one issue I have with a World Devestators design was the lack of any remotely visible propulsion system that provides forward thrust.
if I recall, the idea is that the WD has insanely powerful Tractor Beams, so odds are, it just tractors itself towards something. as such, the only propulsion it needs is an hyperdrive
Everything but being limited to a "VIP" devestator sounds great. Id say balancing would be better off being forced to construct them manually, but only on planets a devestator is orbiting? Something along those lines. It feels.....underwhelming to have that sort of limitation that ends up breaking the cycle so easily.
This looks awesome but maybe a little OP? I was wondering if there would be a 'weakness' to exploit like the death star lolz
The fact they're limited to advancing one ship at a time is nerf enough. The World Devastators were so deadly because they were self-replicating machines. You could shoot them and kill them as you would any other ship, but the fact they could just disappear off to some corner of the galaxy and replenish themselves was terrifying.
Only a matter of time until Yuuzhan Vong Worldships are added :)

Allways wanted to play this game but never had time. And on the topic of Star Wars. STAR WARS Dark Forces Remaster is being released pretty soon 28th Feb. So hyped for that. Nightdive Studios is just going insane with these remasters

How I get to use a world devastator? I have the thrawn's revenge mod. I haven't been able to use them via skirmish mode... or is it a campaign only kinda thing?
Galactic Conquest only, I'm afraid. You'll get them in Era 4 after assimilating enough of the other Imperial factions.

If you could build them, you could also get your normal manufacturing processes running exponentially more efficiently with the same tech

Corey should allow you to build an lv one if you lose the growing ship. An overpriced cost for a frigate, maybe 10k credits. The battlecruiser is good in defense but destroying hard points is slower than other ships. I played with the mechanic last month, the frigate is weak and easy to lose by one mistake. Being able to build one at an overpriced cost I think it could be balanced.
The battlecruiser WD is incredibly powerful, having to protect your growing frigate is VERY balanced considering you can genuinely just produce an infinite amount of them for free. If you lose it, that's your fault.
NOT THAT OP SINCE FOR SOME REASON EVEN WHEN FIGHTING IT DOESNT GET MATERIALS (sorry caps on)

From a gameplay perspective, I like the idea of having a ship which upgrades in battle and requires protection from time to time.
Can’t wait to have this released in the next update.
It’s actually better. Due to its smaller size.
It’s technically much better because the Star Forge is a Dark Side powered station that feeds on the Star AND the ones using it. Long term you’d be as ruined as the Rakata before their fall.

Guy is working on this mod, probably 90% of content here and 100% of other channel are about this mod. For him it's obvious that if he do video about changes to some unit in game it's in this mod.
@@wojtek561 no it's not, not even for the other channel, and it's not obvious to anyone who's not so familiar with EaW mods that they can even recognize the difference in units between mods, and expecting those people to view other videos to get that info is unreasonable, so he has made a video that showcases content from a mod and failed to provide any information to find said content so people can try it for them selves, that deserves a down vote
