      @@TheGreatWave4 sequels are awful due to the infuriating writing, that threw everything out of the window and put together few scenes without any logic.
      But that´s Disney nowadays. They either do this or remake their old stories. As if they completely lacked any creative writers, or more likely, their leadership is stuck playing it "safe".

    • @MrChickennugget360
      @MrChickennugget360 Год назад +4

      I think the reason its so capable is it dispenses with a large cargo hold and troop compartment as well as the large fighter bay that the ISD had. Because the New Republic heavily used Snub fighters with hyperdrive they could afford to build ships that could not carry fighters and only had a small hanger bay. This allows the Nebula class to be much smaller and more compact. Its after all intended to give Star Fighter squadrons more fire support in long range missions without the extra logistics of sending an entire fleet.

    Real nice comparision shot between the Nebula and Venator class. Gives a good scale of the Nebula since we know how big the Venator is in ways other then the length like we do with the Nebula.
    Just by Eyeballing it the Nebula looks to be bout 550 to 600 meters wide and bout 200 meters thick compare to the Venators 558 by 268.

    Everytime I see something like this I just get angry at the Sequels all over again. They literally had everything they needed to make a great sequel series and they threw it all in the trash can and fed us a pile of crap. They could have done the Yuzhan Vong war and showed off all these new designs, they could have done Grand Admiral Thrawn, just set him later than in the books. They could have a new sith order deal, striking from the Unknown regions, they could have adapted the new jedi order series of books into movies and it would have been AMAZING. with a competent writer. But no. Instead we got a borderline unwatchable trilogy which has turned many star wars fans, including myself, off from the franchise entirely.

    🤔 . . . If you haven’t already, the Titan-Class Star Destroyer. Reason: a larger star destroyer that doesn’t compete against the Super Star Destroyers such as the Executor, but it can hold its own for a Fan Made lineage of Cathars who never chose to being the kings/queens of Cathar, but took the responsibility anyways: the Royal Tigers (think of the males as tigers with Princely lions manes & thus imagine the female equivalent(s)). The ruler of Cathar, during the days of the Galactic Imperial Rule, never chose to rule, but out of all the most human looking Cathars of noble blood, he was forced into the position & usually rules from his Titan-Class Star Destroyer, the Royal Tiger (family tradition, especially to ensure the population’s loyalty). Aside from the Emperor & Darth Vader, his word was law, & he was far more fair & just than the rest of the rulers of the Galactic Empire; not even Moff Tarkin dared not to mess with him, or else Tarkin would be brought before the Imperial Senate. And, shortly after the Battle of Endor, he defended his Imperial Crew as they retreated, letting Cathar volunteers, even ones who’re rebel sympathizers, to hold back the Rebels with his Titan-Class Star Destroyer, loaded with starfighters & other support ships that aren’t Imperial standard(s); he succeeded in ensuring his crews escape before capturing the Rebel Ships & formalizing his own surrender (threw a party for the chained up rebel crew & saying; try to imagine a police officer arresting a person & as the person there is secured, the officer tells the person that they’re turning themselves in).
    < ruclips.net/video/6yhm3wVgyYs/видео.html > :
    Anyways, the only thing to add to this time-set fan fiction is this character’s personal starfighter: basically three to four B-Wings with a YT series cockpit (aka a C-Wing, sorta), & is capable of using three to four TIE Bomber Pods (TIE Boarding Craft pods to be precise) as a type of warhead specifically designed to penetrate the target’s hull, disgorge sabotage & battle droids to better lower the target’s defenses, before landing more organic troops & such…

    It's nice to see that they pay tribute to the Republic and it's Clone Troopers that manned these amazing warships back before the Dark Days.
    Really goes to show how well designed the Venator Class Battle-carrier was when it's still be used in comparison to other much newer warships.
    But what troubles me most is how the First Order managed to secure a victory against the New Republic and it's fearsome fleets of technologically superior warships, I just can't see a proper victory without movie magic going against those odds.
    In the Mandolorian we got some hint that the reason the new republic fell is because of it eatting itself from the Inside and corruption began to go rampant.
    Regardless cool design hope we see it some way in a Live-Action series

      It's canon that the New Republic started demilitarzing almost right after the peace was signed. The First Order (much as I dislike them) were a trained and well equipped war time force. As such the FO could reasonably divide and conquer weak and lax New Republic forces.

      This ship, and the new class modernization program that it was born of (which modernized the entire new republic navy with many new modern designs) are all part of the extended universe, or legends, and is not part of the disney canon.
