I have to tell you that my favorites are Rising and especially We Are Young! I'm 62 years old and I can't wait for the next Dreamcatcher concert so I can jump up and down and headbang to these songs! I felt so much younger and happier when I was listening to them. We Are Young has been playing on repeat since it came out. Never let yourself get old, people!!!!

the MV part i think is to portray how nothing is what it seems behind the camera,since they are just fighting n pushing each other,then u see it's all just an act,but we as audience don't usually get this "behind the scene' POV,same like Handong bruises on her legs that u can't see until they show her full body but u would think she's perfect by the 1st few shots of her top half body,even the mirror placement show her entire legs covered with bruises,but yea it really disrupts the flow of the MV version,but ig it's important to show the message of the track,audio is bit better,but the Live comeback showcase is the best i think cos their vocals are really upfront
I actually agree big time on the OOTD take! While I liked the song on first listen, something felt missing from the song when watching the MV. IDK if I was as bothered by the abrupt stop as you (although I agree it wasn't necessary), listening to just audio made me love the song so much more.
Rising is my favorite song on the album. That is a gym song as well
I also really liked Shatter and We Are Young too.

I loved Rising at first listen. The repetetive ri-ri-ri wasn’t my fav part but it’s definitely a throwback for people like the old dc sound. Shatter was a nice shift, the choir at the end was beautiful haunting. But We are young unexpectedly just swept me away. I didn’t even like edm that much until i listened to a bunch of dc albums on repeat. “Can’t get you out of my mind” was one of my favs. I love the emotional edm so this was an instant fav too. Dc performing this song live and the fans doing the ‘woaa’s would absolutely wreck me.
Handong's era, well deserved, especially after watching the performances.
I liked 'OOTD' at first listen, like it was not great but better then ok. Now I really like it. Though the bridge could've been more creative (longer, but going back to 3:30 when it is good for the song at least is a wish I have for Pop music that probably won't come true).
'Rising' is fun, the ri-ri-ri doesn't even bother me, surprisingly, because it goes very well with the instrumental. Moshpit potential, like Wake Up. Where are my metalhead / rocker Somnias at concerts?
'Shatter' is already one of my favourite B-Sides, I will go ape shit at concerts. Maybe even same level as Demian for me (I love Demian, top 15 Dreamcatcher song probably).
We Are Young I skip 1/10 times, just so much not my type of sound that the only reason I will listen to it is to listen to Damis sweet voice in it.
However I loved your reaction to it, I swear when the first chorus hit your eyes turned heart-shaped.

i have to agree with you. OOTD is not something to be loved by everybody. MV and song are 2 different entities. Song itself is great, not something usual by Dreamcatcher, but that's good. MV is something that should be watched and paid attention to, not the song. the message is obvious enough. 8/10
Rising - rock metal. what should I say? it's Dreamcatcher. 9/10
Shatter - this is a deceptive song, we vibe with it, and then I made the same face you made. anyway, this is complicated for me. i don't like chanting chorus in general because it sounds lazy. but verses, pre-chorus, bridge, everything else are absolute bang (pun intended). 8/10
We Are Young - definitely an unofficial fan song. we can chant together.. love it when the song started. 9/10

it was ootd 3rd then rising 2nd but ootd grew on me and jumped up

After having the whole day to sit down and process this album, I genuinely like OOTD and am glad that it exists as the title track instead of Rising personally. And I think the general criticisms of people who don’t like OOTD are justified and understandable. Girl crush is a pretty standard K-pop concept, but it’s something I don’t think Dreamcatcher has ever really explored in their discography. And they still put their own spin on it with the 90’s grunge sound in the instrumental
I don’t say this as a bad thing, but Rising feels like the generic song of the album in the context of Dreamcatcher’s discography. It’s a great song but also a little bit predictable and what you would expect from a Dreamcatcher song.
I agree. I liked OOTD as the title track cause it's kind of a new sound/style to them but it still suits them perfectly. It was still very DREAMCATCHER even though it's kinda different.
Rising was my personal fave on the album but yeah it was the "usual" Dreamcatcher sound we hear. It is actually IMO one of the heavier, fast paced songs DC has released in a while.
The abrupt ending of Shatter initial annoyed me, until I realized that it's supposed to represent the singer in the song turning to stone. That knowledge alone makes it way more tolerable for me because of how clever is it as an artistic choice.
They're throwing a lot of flavors at us but my fav is their EDM

When we are young comes on, that hit me hard and when the outro came on I got emotional and started tearing up with happiness.
Your analysis on OOTD is spot on. Same thing happened to me regarding both watching and listening to the song. Rising is the track for me. It's rocking. Shatter and We are young is good also. There'll be debates about OOTD, didn't know what they trying to define but yea it was puzzling.
Anyway, Dreamcatcher never disappoints. Dreamcatcher is the DREAM. 🤘🥰🤘

Yes it felt slightly off with the mv even though I still looped a fair bit at work. On the way home though, when I listened to the audio only, WOW. Liked it so much better. Honestly as a title track, even though it is such a different sound than the usual, I consider it as one of their best from them. The fact that they break away from the standard Dreamcatcher formula (bridge, Siyeon's high notes, hard last chorus) is so refreshing. Shatter is a 50-50 for me. I love the vocal part of it but the switch ups and word repetitions? Not quite a fan of them.

I hate myself for saying this but I am slowly but surely falling in love with Shatter. The drastic switch ups and word repetitions are usually something I am not a fan of but now one day later, while I still won't recommend any songs doing this, this song won me over. Especially the theatrical-ness of the later parts. It makes the song more complete.
@@JiMoMin Ok, your comment makes me laugh so hard. I'm also like this. I'm been looping OOTD for the past 3 months like crazy, even more than my beloved Odd eye. Usually repeating words would be a no for me immediately. OOTD and Shatter are just built different.

Agreed on the cut in the middle of the MV. This is what felt off to me as well. But on Spotify, the song just flows so SO well! It hits different. Also their showcase, the choreography makes it better.

The prob with OOTD are the sound engineering..why they put their vocal so laid back compare to most of their other songs..(and i am wearing In-ear) the musicality of OOTD is amazing but they got to fix the vocal placement.

Shatter had so much potential, awesome verses and bridge.. but the chorus.... and Rising could have a better lyrics on Ri ri ri ri ri sing... too repetitive for that awesome instrumentals, a short lyric ending with ..Rising word could be better
Tbh I'm really happy with Rising since that part is fun to sing, but for Shatter, I just wish the drop in the chorus was louder and hit harder. The final chorus is great though!
