I respect Jemele Hill because God has allowed her to make money from a talent that he gave her. In my opinion she has knowledge of her craft and is beautiful to say the least. I have seen many folk who bash her because she is a woman which is absurd since we all came from a woman. The only one who seemed to make this a race issue is you.
I agree with you but he made 80 million dollars over his whole career. So I hope he's smart enough and doesn't go broke. But again anything is possible, there are players who went broke after having 80-100 (Antoine Walker) or even 300 million (Mike Tyson).

I hope he invested some of his money, so that can live out the rest of his life off of interest. Look at it like this, put $5 Mill, $10 Mil diversified into mutual funds (domestic and international), and/or stocks and bonds. A good broker, even in this down market can get you at least 5% to 7% return. On $5 Mill, that is $250,000 to $300,000 income per year taxed at 15% Federal, maybe another 7% state and City, still adds up to $195,000 tax free cash in hand. Do these players think lik that?

Personally I'm tired of seeing black entertainers/athletes go from rags to riches to rags again. Having nice things is fine and I'm not knocking those who are doing the right thing but more times than not these guys are blowing their money on things that aren't going to pay off for them in the long run. Then we'll see some documentary a few years from now and they won't have anything. I'm all for having that nice house & the nice cars but not at the expense of me starting over at square one.
