- In my Solo adventure across South-East Asia, today's video is a lot about food, or vegetarian food in Singapore. From the street markets of Tiong Bahru to the vibrant China Town, finding vegetarian food options in Singapore is not very easy. We also visit some lesser known places in Chinatown to get an incredible view and end up dancing to the tune of Bole Chudiyan with strangers turned friends from China! I have been watching your videos for quite sometime now... But today is the first time i am leaving a comment here.. The things you said that solo traveling is about knowing about yourself..i can totally feel it.. 2022 was the year i did my first solo travel to Thailand from India.. As a solo girl i was a bit anxious at first cause it was my first time of solo as well as abroad.. But it turned out to be awesome.. Then after 6 months i went to Philippines too.. Initially i have travelled around only in India but never solo.. But these two solo travels gave me strength to start solo traveling in India too.. And i have never felt better... I connected with myself more and now i feel like i am addicted... And thank you so much for all the details and everything so diligently you put uo here... Thanks a lot and happy traveling :))
I lived in Singapore for 16 years in the past. Now I live in USA - Las Vegas. There are many Chinese vegetarian restaurants in Singapore. You will not get iffy "vegetarian" food as in hawker centers. Since they are purely vegetarian, no shrimp paste etc. in your food. They are VERY good. Of course, there are the upmarket Indian restaurants in Clark Quay which are very good. Then you have the South Indian restaurants like Komala Vilas, Woodlands and Maiyas in the Serangoon Road which are inexpensive, and food here tastes homemade and is delicious. Have a nice time in Singapore! In the hawker centers it is better to stick to Indian mama shops which sell dosais, roti prata etc. Since they are Indian the UNDERSTAND what vegetarian is and will make sure what you get is purely vegetarian. Since I am vegetarian as well, I understand your plight. :)

The stall that you bought the bee hoon is a vegetarian stall, so its pretty safe to say that the food that you had were all plant- based. I believe that the lady was trying to tell you that laksa was out of stock at that moment, when she said "NO". The strange "soya" pieces are likely mock meat made of wheat gluten, that are very commonly used in chinese vegetarian cuisines. It must be baffling for all that language barrier. Hope you had a good time .

Hello Visha : please visit the tea villa . It’s in Katong and then Shivam in little india. If up for momos veg then go to the fifth season Tangra it’s also in little india.
Noted the suggestion for next time though, since I have moved from the country now🙈
At every bus stop there are boards showing the bus services and bus routes so you won't make the mistake of travelling in the wrong direction.

Sorry to say ! Singapore is Singapore ! Especially in the hawker Center, they are mainly owner own ! So what is said and sold is base on 100% honesty! Thank you! Don’t even try to think otherwise of the ingredients or oil use ! ( it can be kind of insult ) it may just be the first time you tasted something you have not taste before ! That’s all !

Have watched documentaries on Singapore Hawker centres and how it's true to what they say, which is why I clarified later in the video, as to why I felt that way. yo just a tip, please work on the audio levels while editing. Sometimes during b-rolls the volume jumps and jarrs the experience a bit, otherwise great vlog!

My business partner is a Singaporean and he takes me to all these local food courts when am there.. and i just relived the same confusion i always have, being a vegetarian, when am there!! Somehow i still dont like the easyway out to go to little india and have indian food there and i like exploring the vegan restos which are abundant in singapore besides still trying to find something veg in these food courts 😆🙌😆🙌
