Unrelated to chrysoprase, but that cut at 4:27 is so impressive, kudos to the editor!

Good information. Thank you. Chrysopras has really special colors. Green jewelry is always attractive.

Also, it isn't the air itself that can fade the stone. It's exposure to sunlight.

I purchased some raw Chrysoprase and love working with it. I made some beautiful pendants with it.

You should do a video on deepcut and showcut gemstones.

How do you get these/ where do you find them?

The best quality material on the market comes from the Marlborough region in north eastern Australia.
The entire mining area is now consolidated within one company.
There are other sources worldwide, historically; Poland was a big producer.

    1) Antique, hand made, original Chinese jade stone tree.

4)One of a kind piece in the world.

    6)Base stone.
The light green original jade base stone is about 9.25 kilograms in weight and about 28 inches in girth from either sides.
    7) wooden base at the bottom also reveales the aging of the master piece.
8)Total tree about approx 15 kilograms plus in weight including wooden base, light green original jade stone base and upper branches with leaves and petals.

I had a dragon ring with a green stone on top and a diamond for the eye.
I’m no expert but the green of the stone convinced that it was jade and they labeled it as such.
However it’s a moot point as the ring and a few others were stolen from me.( filthy rat bastards)

Even more prized than chrysoprase is gem silica...

So then how are you supposed to care for it? How can you identify stones without a bunch of fancy equipment at home? Also when you show jewelry it would be nice to know what time period it’s from.

    • @VanSaused
      @VanSaused 4 года назад

Usually if she announces what time period it’s from, that usually entales it’s significance during an era or history. In this case she simply showcases chrysoprase and some basic info about it. As for caring, there’s many websites telling on how to care for chrysoprase jewelry. Normally these stones don’t need special equipment and a good care with no bumps onto the chrysoprase itself is what it needs to last a lifetime; aside from a few repolish or waxing here and there.
Now remind JTV = Jewelry Television, so the hostess doesn’t need to tell you how to take care of it unless a gemstone has a feature that sets it apart from other gemstones.

Emerald Queen true, she just says chrysoprase and Imperial Jade are similar, that why she took out a green jade. She’s a gemologist so she probably knows that there is multiple colours of jade
