For anyone who may want to know. A while back Ford reman engine used to come with so much damn paint on them it was like they dipped the whole long block in a vat of paint. Manifolds too. Was a smoke screen behind you on the first test drive.
@mikehoving6361 Yeah, I have no idea what that cheap paint was, but it was terrible. Typically, with the cummins, CAT, and international specific paints I've used in my overhauls and rebuilds, it only burns off a little around the cylinder heads around the exhaust manifolds. The worst paint by far is what jasper uses in their rebuilds. Every single one of those I've swung for customers has been a forest fire.
Not a while back, 3 weeks ago I did a 6.4 on a 2010 f350, it was a "complete unit" with turbos and egr coolers and everything already. I called it rolling stone because the entire thing was painted black. I think it's gonna start a fire at some point but it's not my truck
Why not move that box on the tappet cover? Believe from heat cycles to be plagued with issues. Otherwise it’s eh mint engine. I always said they’re the best sounding diesel engine
Im chevy think we need give Henry Ford his own holiday without creating the motor we all wouldn't most likely wouldnt have signal vehicle like what we have today.
Wait a second... the turbo is right in the middle of the engine next to the coldest plastic/rubber parts of the engine and cylinder heads, intake manifold, and wiring... wtf that turbo runs at 500 to 1000 celcius, this makes for a very low performance engine that will self destuct when abused... like this thing will melt down, and light off the fuel lines i hope there in not a pointless return Line added, seems like a glitch, why would anyone use this let alone rebuild one, pretty sad sorry excuse for an engine
All that paint is bad, why!?!?, especially if its aluminum! You just ruined that engines ability to dissipate heat as well, it will run a bit hotter, unless it was cleaned very well the heat cycles will make the paint lift and chip away and moisture and salt collecting under the paint, hard to wash off, best thing to stop rust is to add inner fenders so it dosnt get wet and a light coat of oil, dont paint aluminum

Oh cool, I like how you went out of your way to paint the edges of all the gaskets too
Is it blue inside the cylinders too?
😂😂😂 and blue Valves
Oh wait, you painted the aluminum heatsinks for the computer too?

Hoping this goes well for him.

Not a fan of the 6.0 but still a wheel peeling build 💪
I miss my 6.0 😢
blue by eifel tower would be more fitting.

Just wish the alternator was blue.
What’s your favorite color?
Im chevy think we need give Henry Ford his own holiday without creating the motor we all wouldn't most likely wouldnt have signal vehicle like what we have today.
What?
Hope you got all of the emissions garbage off of it, or it's just a big blue boat anchor
5 gallons of paint poured on the engine.
Why paint the pulleys?
Good luck with that bud
Needs more blue
Needs more blue.😂😂
Even the pulley surfaces are painted .. really
I don’t miss the sight of one of those money pits!
A Smurf motor
I’m gonna guess you like the color blue? 😂🤷🏽♂️
Looks like a thousand smurfs threw up on it!😂😂😂
I think your paint guy missed a spot
@jeffholt8138 🤣 I'll have to talk to him about that, I suppose.
You missed a spot😢
You lost your spray paint can privileges.
Tell s you’re too lazy to mask, without telling us you’re too lazy to mask.
Они покрасили его в синий что бы мотор стал холоднее😄
Шкив и радиаторы конечно были лишними😅
Aww, you didnt paint the alternator, thats no fun
Good luck
Missed a spot! 😂😂😂
Newbies with the rust oleum rebuild
I have a name for it........ the smurf turd 😂
6.0 is always a lot of money, never again.

Now take off the paint on the pulley
Too much blue…
Cuánto dinero tiraste a la basura 😢
