Just wanted to say this is a brilliant channel. The way you expand upon the historicity of the projects you explore with your perspective of film as an expressive medium is always impressive. I also find myself drawn to works that survive numerous obstacles - it's inspiring, even if the obsessive auteurs can be a bit much at times!

I noticed you didn't talk about the plot of the original 2000 production. Is the full extent of the plot not known, or is it just not all that interesting or different from the final version?

I've actually never seen a full script. I only know it involved the time travel concept and, I believe, a few original set pieces that were cut from the later version, probably for budgetary reasons. Lost in La Mancha, from what I remember, shows a few storyboards for these sequences.

@@DisRegardingHenry We will likely never see it anytime soon, possibly for decades, come to think of it, because of all that stuff with the insurance company...

@@DisRegardingHenry The 2000 script pdf can be found easily online I think. It's available on archive dot org for example. RUclips doesn't allow for direct link.

Dude this had me dying laughing. So many fruitless attempts and failures in such rapid succession. The demoralization would kill the average man
