Thank you very much for this awesome helpful video. I just upgraded mine and it was probably one of the easiest upgrades for me to do. Can't wait for the rain to stop to go test it out!
Appreciate the great tutorial. Just got mine done. I have the newer, 1 piece kick plate and actually had to file a mm or 2 of the spacer itself to fit into the upper mount.
Just an fyi for those who have the newer version of the vsett10 you need nothing other then the 291 shocks. They’re swap out and swap in. Took me 10min for each wheel. Also a good idea to install the rebound adjuster on the bottom end. That way you can access the sag ring without taking the tire off. Another person found that if you install the shock with the rebound at the top - an air bubble can be felt
What kind of improvement did you notice after installing the upgraded shocks? I am also 235 lbs. would you still recommend 1500 lbs on the front and 1800 lbs on the rear?
Better safer handling at higher speeds, but also better ride quality. Yes on 1500lbs up front and 1800lbs rear. I know some charts say different but I found these numbers out from a guy who does warranty repairs for Vsett. I was right at 230-235lb that rate is good from like 210lbs to 250lbs. If your lighter it will be stiffer and if you weigh more the ride will be softer. These shocks are adjustable too so they can be tuned for weight. Just set them somewhere in the middle of the clicks and you can play with them from there.
The Ausom Gallop are the exact the same frame design with minor variance, do you think, I can install the same shocks in them? if yes, how do I know what exact payload to get 1500lbs or 2000lbs and what dimensions should I look for, 125mm x 24, 135mm, 150mm or higher? It's so confusing because the manufacturers don't print the exact specs on these shocks for us to know what to replace/upgrade them with. Another question is, could you use the stock spacers with the new shocks or one has to order the aftermarket one like you did?
Have an Ausom Gallop also & Just got the 291r,took apart the back & the bottom of the 291r shock hole & bushing is too small ,gonna send back, they are both 2000lb 125front ,150mm rear 24x24 both...the bottom shock spindle on the Gallop is 10mm so the Vsette must be 8mm,the 291r shocks are 8mm for both,I measured
I have a vsett 10+ for about a week now, I had ordered the shocks based on lots of posts saying they were needed. So far I don't really have any issues with the stock suspension. I'm on the heavier end so I read that I should use 2000lb on both front and rear. Will it be an improvement still you think? If not I may just sell them and not bother. Thanks!

Just installed the EXA FORM 291R 125mmx24x24-1500lbs on the front of my VSETT 10+. No matter which stiffness setting I adjust to, the shock fully compresses on any bump, and any time I push my body weight down on the scooter. It feels like my brand new shock is busted. Any tips? Am I just missing something stupid?
If you tighten the shock collar sleeve the threaded part It was stiffen the ride. You will need a large pair of adjustable pliers and a rag or a piece of rubber so you don't scratch the shock when grabbing with the tool, it will make the shock more firm. It will look like it's used to raise the suspension height up which it will do, but it will also make the spring stiffer. If it gets too stiff back it off a little bit. That should fix things. The little red adjuster is just for rebound so that's going to slow down how fast the shock pogo sticks back up at you. So if you make it real stiff by tightening that sleeve then you want to add more rebound so it's not so springy feeling. Hope that helps. Let me know.
You have to get them through Aliexpress. Here is a link to them. Proper sizing is in my description. Let me know if you have anymore questions. www.aliexpress.com/item/32968961232.html
Hey I was just reading back on this. The swing arm bolt should be 30lbs with locktite but the wheel bolt can go 50lbs to 80lbs. So sorry for the misinformation. I read what you wrote the first time wrong.
Hi Daniel, in my case I bought 125mm/850lbs, I weight 68 kilos / 150 lbs. It did not work, the shock was almost completely compressed once I stood up on the scooter, despite being adjust to full stiffness (rebound and spring). I think you will have the same issue, being heavier than me. I solved it changing only the spring to 1500 lbs, and it work like a charm.
@@KokeMendez thanks brother me too! Do you mind just showing a quick video on how to change the front? Also the spacers did you by them separately?? Or they came with the shocks?

So, how has the ride been with the new shocks? I am in the market for a scooter and the Vsett 10+ 28ah is on my radar....This is my 1st Scooter so I need all the advice, suggestions, and help! Is the Vsett 10+ the best bang for my buck and what about the new display I saw a guy install? Again, have you noticed a change in dampening with the new shocks installed?

Excellent Video Outer Zone RC 👌
Very informative ! 🧐😇
9:50 "these come right off"... Not on the one i'm trying to change now, they're pretty stuck...
can you provide a link on those banggood plastic parts you mentioned
Can you give me the link where to get the spacer set? The 26mm and the spacer. Thanks
Yeah I can't find them
Was hoping to see how much slop in the bottom mount of the new shock..any play in the pin and shock sleeve etc also play in pin and swingarm pin hole?
I did this install almost a year ago and finally just posted. I do not remember any slop. I don't like slop.
Cen you tell me the size for the front and rear shock please I have a TEVERUN fighter 10 and wonna make few upgrades ❤
hey whats the eye to eye of the shocks?
Hello outer zone rc I notice you put a 26mm bushing on top of the shock did you do the same 26 mm busing on the bottom also ?
What is the outer diameter of the bottom bushing? Is it 14mm? Thank you!

Was the stock rear suspension 125mm and you changed it to 165mm?
Original suspensión rear is 165mm… and front is 125mm
Hi guys , has somebody 180 pounds weigth tryed the 1250lbs front and 1500lbs back ?? Do you recomend that specs for that kind of rider ? Thanks
What would you recommend for 195lbs rider?
I think 1250lb in the front and 1500lb rear would be good. Little bit stiffer then stock but better adjustable shocks for different riding styles.
Bro where did you purchase both of them? I need to buy right now

You should have took out the side bolts on the brakes so you didn't have to readjust them by taking them off the way you did
I saw in another video the guy said to tighten the swingarm bold to 50 ft pounds. Is that correct? Since you said 30.

I just remove one side of the arms(motor side) and all done
So you didn’t remove wheel?
Hey dude, does the weight rate matter? I’m about 195 pounds and purchased the 125mm 250lb and 165mm 450lb are those good and will work??

Ali express lists these as rear shock absorbers but the 125mm 1500lb will still fit on the front of the vsett right?
I don't think grease should be used. Prohibited. Dry.
