I'm 61 and just getting started for private pilot certificate. Before I sign up with a school/CFI I'm getting my medical records and seeing a AME, I'm currently learning Ground School with what's available for free online and the Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge. What did you do for Ground School? Can you recommend an online course? Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Since the emergency landing, we've done quite a bit of work on avionics, fuel system, and are monitoring the oil. My first oil change and second revealed quite a bit of metal in the oil and filter. They were both sent off to be analyzed and have been somewhat inconclusive at this point. The engine is running. I am able to fly it but there are some anomalies that may never be corrected. We just completed the annual condition inspection and it passed! I just have to watch a few things. :). I'd love to put some kind of video together to explain some issues/considerations that come with the purchase of an airplane, and more specifically, an experimental but can't seem to come up with a helpful and organized way to present it without making an hour long video! I'm still processing and thinking through it and hoping I can find some bite sized ways to describe. I know that's a long answer but it's complicated and has several moving parts! :)

That's exciting!! Good for you! I did my ground school through Sporty's. They have a Learn to Fly course that I would highly recommend!!
