This is soo true My love for worldly things have started diminish day by day since a few weeks ago In can’t afford to go by a day without reading my Bible I literally brings it along nowdays . Thank you Jesus for making me understand that my Bible is it the best thing I ever own .
I listen to Pastor Skeets sermons all the time, he’s naturally gifted to do this, but this sermon shows that even he is not right 100% of the time. The “Word” in this instance is not the memorization of the Bible, the Word refers to Jesus as the Holy Spirit. Jesus was teaching in parables, like eat my flesh and drink my blood, that’s why he referred to Himself as The Word. (Because even satan and his angels believe in the Bible, they’re not disputing that.) To have the Word means having the Holy Spirit, who is Jesus Christ in spirit form.

He has referred to the word in many of his sermon as Jesus. In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word is God. It is not about just reading and memorizing the Bible.
@@garrethallen8713 but a consistent reading of the bible, will make us more sanctified. It will bring us closer to god. Its like a " how to" manual for true believers. If jesus is the word, god is the word, and jesus was god in the flesh, and the holy spirit, technically is the spirit of god, youd be a fool not to study the bible.
