Loved the leopard sighting. Hope the vehicles are maintaining a 2 or 3 vehicle loc. Was at a Cara sighting in May when vehicles from the north completely ignored this and it became a very stressful situation unfortunately.

Lion and leopard Moms have to go hunt to feed themselves to make milk for the cubs, and when they are a bit older, to hunt to feed them meat. It's why they choose a den in places that hide the cubs. Most of the time, they are ok, but they can be found and killed by rival big cats, hyenas, or other predators while Mom is away. There is no way to avoid that. Mom will be back after hunting!

Those Imbali females are absolutely ripped!! 🐾💪 @12:37
@Tintswallo do you happen to know what their speciality prey is there ? Or do you know if they have one or Two lionesses that are the 'pathfinders' and lead most the hunts?
I know some guides in other areas have various opinions regarding that. It seems I used to hear of organized hunts with each lioness knowing her strength and the team putting everyone in position to hunt utilizing that.
It also seems as tho lions hunt a lot during the day, while certain docus swear they hunt mostly at night. Maybe coincidence or possibly it's different opportunity in the bush terrain vs the Savannah?
Another great video Tristan, & Thank you to the whole team.

The imbali pride, was a super pride a couple of years ago. I'm not sure of their status now. Prides dynamics chsnge so fast.

Is it wise to stay with the cubs? Doesn't it give their position away to other predators?

Imagine being alone..in the bush ..in the dead of night..it’s pitch black..darkness..you’re already panicking ..and then you hear that roar nearby..😟

I can’t imagine the ultimate horror and panic I would feel in your described situation. Although I’d have probably died of fright for just being alone, in the first place.
