Another raiding update has been made to Unturned which changes more to the whole scene. Dragonfang has been buffed, by quite a lot, Nykorev is irrelevant for raiding, and maybe more to come?

Many did not know about this hidden raiding change from yesterday, what do you guys think???
Kameding the vault door is weaker than a metal door, so that has to get fixed.

What if there is to diffrent ammo boxes to the d fang and nykorev one explosive like the fragmentition mag that can raid and one standard that cant raid
Now people can use Nykorevs as Sentry Guns without ya know, the chance of getting raided, BY THEIR OWN GUNS? :V

I honestly think that the previous update which included nerfing raiding was good, becouse now it seems like it's easy to raid again
Remember it takes high cal but ammo, which is waaay harder to find than low caliber, not to mention one of the 2 main raiding guns got taken completely out of the picture, meaning oh have to search harder to get a dragonfang to raid with
To get a dragonfang u need to do a horde, kill a American Mega Zombie, killing a abusive admin that has it in their inv or from another player that spent years grinding it.

This is good. The fact that the Dragonfang took high caliber rounds AND took over 200 shots to destroy metal was a bit ridiculous. This is not perfect, I think it should be at least 100-150 shots for a metal wall, but is siginifcantly better than how raiding every was in the past or in the last few days
Just glad that I can finally attach an actual scope instead of a dot sight on a matamorez.
Why the hell did Nelson choose the dragonfang as the raiding lmg if it by its model shoots lower caliber bullets (5.56x45) unlike the nykorev which actually shoots a larger one (7.62x54r)? Makes no sense to switch the roles of these weapons and then add the nykorev as the lower caliber squad support weapon and the dragonfang being a raiding LMG that uses high caliber ammo. The nykorev is literally modeled after the PKM and the dragonfang is modeled after the M249 SAW.
I mean, the game isn’t exactly the most realistic game.

I get what you mean, but like, the AUG in unturned can chamber two completely different calibers of ammunition without any modifications. Almost nothing to do with ammunition makes sense in this game.

This is a good update, differentiating between the Nykorev and the Dragonfang. I like this update. Raiding isn't impossible, but it is harder. When you get your Dragonfang that comes with the box already loaded, you can get a little bit of raiding in, but you need to refill with high cal or find another box. Seems fair in theory.
This is good. I'm pretty sure that everything that was discussed in the video is to my liking.

I feel like the Dragonfang is a bit too powerful for my liking. I like how the Nykorev can't raid now though. It'll add just a little bit more diversity to the pvp side of unturned.
Yeah, the Dragonfang is OP now. Raiding is going to be a piece of cake
While it is OP, keep in mind it uses high cal ammo now. If you're raiding a metal base you need 4 full high caliber boxes to break a single wall. While it's easier TO raid now, you're going to have to think a lot more on what you *really* need to raid.

Yeah, dfang should be changed the same way as nykorev imo.
Dragonfangs should spawn with less ammo, there's no point to refilling boxes, it's easier to just find more dragonfangs or boxes.

keeping the nyk low cal (unable to raid) and giving the DF high cal (able to raid) is a very very VERY good balance tweak

Not only that, but the dragonfang now does 50 damage per shot, meaning it beats the maplestrike, nightraider, and chimera in damage.

it is fine to make both nykorev and dragon fang use high caliber and still be able to raid but to make only dragon fang capable to do this and make not nykorev have the same ability that just took russia out of the list of places to raid in unturned i hope nykorev will be able to raid again
I think that this update is a detrimental change to maps like Russia, where dragonfang is not as common, while I also feel as if the dragonfang is too buffed, and needs a slight nerf. I think variety in raiding guns should be achieved, because multiple sides and factions have access to these lmgs. While I agree that raiding needs to be nerfed, I do not feel this is the way to do it, and I would suggest a update like the previous one, but a slight buff for the raiding guns compared to the previous nerfed damages.

I think the nykorev should be the raiding gun with high cal and dragonfang should be PvP will low cal
The nykorev sounds more powerful than the dragonfang and if it stays with dragonfang then nerf the damage a little bit with metal walls
Personally, I think it would be better if all machine-guns were anti-personnel and either the sniper rifles were buffed against structures, or some new weapons introduced explicitly. After all, the M82 barret was designed as an anti-material rifle, as was the Hectate, and the VSS is usually issued with AP rounds. These all fire slower than an MG and require more reloads, so the time to raid goes up, and you get a requirement for teamwork - one with an MG to suppress defenders, one with an heavy weapon to breach the defenses.
By the way, has anyone noticed to what degree the changes in walls affects the zombies?
I think that this was a really good buff because I mean it's high caliber ammo so of course I would do more damage and I like the fact that there will be a PVP lmg this was a very good update by Nelson and this is going to change rating for ever
when i consider raiding i think of the raider and defender and i liked it when it was nerfed becuase i was looking into the defender's eyes because i always play that role
Nelson should buff only walls so it's hard to break them with D-fang or Nykorev but still possible and thoose two weapons should still use Low cal ammo.
HMG boxes should also take high cal because the bullets explodes
I think that Horde Beacons should either not require a detonator anymore, or they should go back to giving 7 pieces per player. They are basically useless right now, so either take away the requirement of a detonator or take away the new loot giving system it has.

Yass I spammed Russia and keep doing so my man ! The thing is you find dfangs in horde bacons and airdrops more than the nykorev.. Before this update I had an empty 4 walls in one place kind of base lul

they need to make the dragonfang do less damage to walls because you get dragonfang boxes from horde beacons which are easier to get that a whole bunch of high-cal.

Don't get me wrong, i love the nykorev change, but dragonfang is just...why. Some could say: "bUt iT UsEs hIGh CaL aMmO!!!!11". The thing that most people forget however, is the fact, that if you find the gun, you ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH AMMO LOADED TO DESTROY LIKE 10 WALLS. Yes, TECHNICALY if you play on a normal/hard server (insert kameding's server ad here) it often has less than 150 bullets loaded, but let's be honest - 98% of the playerbase only goes on easy servers. So pretty much - dfang was better before this update imo.
You shouldn't be able to destroy 2 metal walls with one mag. Either make the dfang just like the nykorev now (better idea imo) or change it's damage back to the last update.

In my opinion none of these guns should raid. Charges should be the only option to raid. This would make these actual PVP guns again. Who would use a raiding gun in pvp right ? Now we may have guys running around with nykorevs. Now the Nykorev should take normal ammo again.
