The 2019 BMW X3 M40i is quite the vehicle. This is the latest X3 from BMW and I love a number of the components on this #BMW.
From the style, interior, and controls, to the engine, exhaust, and all the new capabilities, the BMW X3 M40i is worth buying, and I think it's worth $80k (Canadian). The 355 horsepower and 369 ft-lbs of torque produced by this engine, combined with the 8-speed transmission ensures that you're always in the "sweet spot".

Good review. Another important feature that s changing with driving modes (not mentioned in the video) is the suspension (more or less stiff).
LOL nice your in Edmonton too! Just on observation that Phytonic Blue looks purple in some lighting and angles. Do you see this too? Blue and purple confuse me, particularly dark blues.

I have one and I will say, I don’t have any buyers remorse. Once you Officially make it an M Car, you’ll lose MPG’s. My M40i get about 30 mpg’s and it’s a SLEEPER!

got mine 2 weeks ago (2019) X4M40i , same beast , was with X3M35i before and it's totally different !! cannot explain the feeling , it's not a 25% more power/torque , I can feel +40% better than my old X3
I guess its a last "F series" style look in 2019.

Love the videos. Curious do you have this knocking sound in your steering wheel? While I love this car I have had a few issues from steering wheel vibrations, rear axle replacement, leather seat replacement due to leather defect, and now this steering wheel knock.
Might have to turn volume up to hear knocking.

Wow, a really nice car, I'm actually beginning to really like the x3 over the x5 (especially in looks), my main pet peeve is that in such a beautiful interior the rear seat sun shades are freaking terrible, I don't know why it drives me a bit nuts :) Kinda once you seen it, you can't unsee it... Anyway, great review dude, lots of detail!

that's before tax..fully loaded m40i is enough for you buy a regular 2018 x5 ..

""Priced at" and "worth" are two different things. If I were to buy the X3 then the front wheel drive one with the smaller engine (sDrive30i) is actually a good deal at around 40K.
The X3 has a RWD based AWD drivetrain so even if you opted for the non-AWD version it would be rwd, not fwd....
It's even faster than most cars on roads, performs better than amg on road and it's more sportier

super nice video. they finally brought the M steering wheel. Is there a HUD on this package? the new Josef Kaban grill is very controversial on the G20 (nicknamed buttox lips). for whatever reason, it is more subdued on this car but still, not easy to film wrap the M shaped front lip. The Meister kink is preserved (thank God!) as the G20 Audi Skoda look (Josef Kaban at VAG) is downright ugly as are the too obvious asymmetrically placed door handles. But not on this car, it kept key features that are controversial even on thr X5. question, how do the 21" wheels handle Canadian potholes? because i think people should be mindful of this as well as 21" tyre cost. I would go as far as customizing a separate 20" set if it saves truing headaches. Brakes- i love these but soccer moms will ruin them, An ill bedded M 4 piston set goes bad as quickly as one winter and it is 1500$. A well bedded one and I got 100,000-160,000 kms per brake set and with occasional track!!

This isn’t a full M car. It’s an m40i which is apart of the M performance line ie m240i, m550i, m760i and the upcoming m340i. BMW has announced we will be getting an X3 M and X4 M.

Ryan the Boston Detailer That is incorrect, the M340i was just unveiled along with the new 330i in the G20 chassis. What you are referring is a 340i which is just the F30 335i with the B58 engine, not an m performance car.

Can this machine be able to perform well in off road like mud areas?
I would say only light muddy conditions, without a locking differential and tall tires with performance treads, it wont go far in the mud as stock.

My wife just bought a 2020 BMW m40i. Acceleration is very impressive for that heavy of a car. The engine braking is a little crazy. Handling is good.

Nice gloss over. Even now, SUV asks if you want to attach to its wifi which isn't available on X3s. Gesture control comes on even if you're just reaching to turn AC on, which btw is located inconveniently, far right and is a small button...If you want your drink in the cup holder, gesture control comes on and so on and so on. I turned it off. BMW doesn't know why air comes out warmer on the passenger's side than driver's. Beats the hot air it was blowing before the recall for a couple of recent software updates, which did not mention the ventilation...Ventilated seats are loud and minimally effective. BMW comes standard with run flats- be prepared for additional cost for M&S all seasons to swap out. Back seat's still a bumpy ride, regardless of tire type. No 2019 BMW rubber cargo mat yet. Lane departure control tries to jerk you onto freeway on-ramps, so keep a tight grip...same issue on an M4 I test drove. Odd inconsistency in programming, because if you don't signal a lane change, it seems to track the line to the left. Cargo cover is a cheap, thin flimsy thing. You're paying for the engine and brand...For the price, the interior should be more like the X5. $80K X3 looks cheap inside, especially the back seat, mesh storage, lack of console storage...M40i is a fun, zippy suv to drive though. Six footers fit fine in this compact, but obviously aren't going to be stretching out their legs-need an X7 for that. The price is high because upgrades are packaged. Want a normal feature you'd expect, then you have to pay another grand or two and get stuck with lame add ons.

That is a ridculous title! First, I own a BMW and fix my BMW to keep it running. X3 M40i is not worth $80,000, that is why there is x5 and x6!!!! Period! Also, turbo 4cy engine is a recent new technology which is a compromise between power and fuel milegae which comes up short verses V6 it is replacing. Look up the research on recent turbo 4cy vs V6. I did the study and research because I am about to buy a small suv.

Only bmw stupid designed on back seats, special on x5, they must be smoothly moved forward and backward for more room. They must think about it in future though. People like anything peace of mind when they're tall to be asked to seat in back seats.
