    I bought this and a portable 1000Wh power-station. It was still around 50% the cost of the forza 500, and I can power it longer than I could with v-mounts anyway!

      That’s so smart 🔥🔥 you’ve unlocked the matrix 😂💪

      Where did you get a portable 1000Wh power-station for only a few hundred €/$/£?

      @ cyberphoto in sweden had a 50% deal of for a zendure power station, it was roughly 380 euro, i bought the light on sale too for around 750 euro

      @@johnnyweissmuller5838 How did you connect it? Nobody ever talks about the USB for anything except firmware upgrades, so I'm wondering if you used one with 110/220 output, or found one with 48 VDC output?

      @@bobn1955 Its not connected with USB, its connected with the usual power cable, the power station has 2 110/220V outputs

    Nicely done, good explanation of the case - but showing how powerful a light is by just showing a bright light, doesn't actually mean anything. You could be on iso 16000 at f2.8 and a toy light would look as bright. You need to show it in context to direct sun or provide camera settings.

      he should have done a side by side comparison with the regular 500

    You're interested more about how the light looks on the outside than how it actually performs in terms of light quality, power output, whether or not the attached dish produces a hotspot or not...

    Hi Alex, I'm searching for the v mount clamp to attach this light to a light stand. Could you please provide me with the link of the v mount clamp you use in the video? I cannot find it anywhere. Thank you very much

    Did you mount larger softboxes than 90 cm? I've heard that lamp mounts can fail to hold large light modifiers. :)

    In terms of hardness (shadows), the FC-500B is between the Forza and the FS series. It's on the Nanlite website and is correct. I have them all. The Forza 500 head provides 2700 lux at 3 meters and the FC500B provides 2600 lux at 3 meters. Great lamp when you need a lot of light. The FC500B has a great price/output/performance ratio.

    Hi, do you think fan noise can be an issue with Nanlite FC-500B for interviews?

    • @AlexDon
      @AlexDon  Год назад +1

      Not at all, you can also stop the fan if needed but there's no point for that since it's super silent.

    Is it as sharp as the Forza 500 II B? Because the FS 300B COB design is different, and has softer shadows

    I was very very very excited and was going to order it on Amazon until I heard that it can't use a V mount battery. No V mount, no party. 😥😥😥

      You can’t use v-mount battery if you buy a controller with cost around 500 euro! The name of this is: ,, Nanlite FC PowerController BT-BCS-48V3.5mm Battery Grip and Control Station V-Mount for FC-300B / FC-500B / FC-500C”
