The writers obviously knew they were writing a variation of the original story. Listen to how the AI (Colonel/writer/some viewers) is getting pissed that Peter Stillman and Raiden hadn't followed their "Role". Love it. Plus I enjoy seeing other people's stories such as Snake rather than just the game hinting or telling us.
I think these videos (the bande desinee for mgs1&2) both solve the biggest problem that comes with trying to adapt the games to a movie. "How to trim it down to feature legnth while not cutting out all the good parts". Everytime i imagined the series in my head as a movie, i could never picture what parts could be cut and left in.

The artist was the same as the one for Portable Ops, and the voice actors are the same for all characters. My guess is Quinton is just more used to the role of Raiden, same as David for Snake. Which wouldn't surprise me, as I believe this came out after GotP.
I don't think so, it makes a few changes from the game like Snake killing solidus and rescuing Emma they took some moments away from Raiden which kinda ruins his character arc in my opinion. Raiden should have killed solidus honestly.
In 2013 Kojima stated that the graphic novels are modern takes of MGS1 and MGS2, they can be used as canon alternate interpretations of the story. Like how in MGS4 he has both MGS1 and Twin Snakes as canon.

Matt Moon this version of the graphic novel is part of the PS3 Legacy collection. The original version had Japanese dubbing, but never got a psp release, just on a dvd, if i remember right

why the fuck should this reproduce the exact same events as the game? comics and movies are entierly different mediums than video games,what works in one of them may not work in the other.that's why alan moore comics are unfilmible for example.

First time watching the digital Novel for mgs, surprised by how much it's different from the main story in the mgs 2 gameplay but still awesome

Bandi Dessne is the Japanese Version of the Original Metal Gear Solid. The American one is Metal Gear Solid Digital Graphic Novel.
