I think you got Diane's sin wrong. It wasn't because of the jealousy of other people being normal size. It's because in the past she was falsely accused of her killing Matrona out of jealousy and other holy knights.
The same Gowther and Merlin. Gowther did have a passionate love (manga) with the princess, the princess was dying of heart disease in her final moment they did it. Gowther couldn’t accept that she is dead so he opened her up took his own heart and put in her, while doing that he was caught by the servants and was mistakenly accused of raping at the same time killing the princess. A quick correction. Diane is known as the sin of Envy because (like most of the other sins) she was falsely accused of a crime. She's not the sin of Envy just because she starts out jealous of Elizabeth getting Meliodas' affections. She and her mentor took a job fighting for a group of humans who ended up betraying them, but fail to kill Diane. She attacked them in revenge, but the event was successfully blamed as Diane's fault for having envied her mentor and wanting to kill her to take her place.
The sins aren't good, only their bearers. It's meant to show that even though they bear terrible sins they can still be good people. And most of them are innocent anyways, only Meliodas, Merlin and Escanor are actually guilty

I think he has Greed because when Elaine was dying and was about to drink the fountain of youth, she quickly transefered it all to ban through a kiss and died. Ban gained eternal life and killed the demon responsible for Elaine's death. I think he feels greedy basically for taking the fountain of youth for himself and leaving none for Elaine, therefore making him the sin of greed. Gowther: The Princess who they accused Gowther of sexually assaulting was King Baltra's sister, Nadia. They were in love. Nadia was dying from a heart disease and was on her death bed when Gowther decided to fully undress, go on top of her and tried to rip out her heart and replace it with his. The guards found him in the middle of the act and arrested him. Nadia's two brothers were there watching him about to be executed when I THINK Meliodas saved him. Gowther actually does have a heart he just erased his memory and filled it with a fake one so he didnt have to remember Nadia.
Not Exactly. Gowther did remove his heart afterwards to "negate" pain he felt after Nadia's Death. And he actively avoided getting it back. It wasn't till after King and Diane met original Gowther during their time travel/Body change training when they promised to take care of doll Gowther they found and restored his heart. Or at least that's what I remember... Been some time since I read that chapter.

The reason he can remove her curse is because he will become the DK and gain the same power which was used to curse her. Although they do exhibit the qualities of the sins they have, in truth, almost all of the seven deadly sins are the opposite of their sins they are accused of except for maybe meliodas and escanor. Diane is the third kindest person in the series after elizabeth and elaine and sincerely cares for others but was given the sin of envy due to the human armies framed her betraying matrona, a fellow giant due to being jealous of her. Ban isn't greedy either since he don't desires things like the fountain of immortality but was wrongly accused of burning the entire fairy forest to obtain immortality. King isn't slothful either but was accused as such due to him abandoning the forest and his responsibility to diligently search for his friend helbram but ended up losing his memories. Gowther isn't lustful either since he don't understand his emotion and thought he has none but like the others was wrongly accused of raping and murdering the sister of the king of liones. Merlin's accusations is an unknown for now and while escanor is too, you can see why he would be given pride. Meliodas is the only one we sure of really being accused of the sins he committed since he did destroy the entire country due to his wrath against fraudin but was wrongly accused of killing all the citizens of danafor.
Nicholas Yeah, it explained that she shows her gluttonous side by desiring knowledge and powers from both demons and angels 3000 years ago but it did not show how she was given the title of boar sin of gluttony by the kingdom of liones.
Yeah, the interesting thing is that many of the sins chose or were framed to take on those Sins. Ban got that Sin for what he was blamed for, but obviously he didn't steal from the fountain, kill Elaine, or burn down the forest. His immense guilt for being unable to save the person he loved and being trapped with immortality pushed him to that. I think he partly took the blame because he hoped they'd find a way to kill him. The Sins do somewhat tie into their personalities. But I agree they very much are the opposite of the sins they are known for.
King's Sin of Sloth isn't from not looking for the lost fairies, it's more that while he was distracted/away Helbram was already on a killing spree for humans, and King the leader of the Fairies had no idea one of his people was terrorizing the lands

Gluttony = Insatiability/ excessive eating (in Merlins case, excessive knowledge) Greed = Selfish desire, especially for wealth and power. He wanted these things since he was a kid. He is a thief who steals anything that takes his interest and can take power from others to increase his own. As I said, they are very similar. Gluttony and greed can be seen in each other.
Merlin is a glutton for knowledge. She made deals with the supreme goddess deity and the demon king to go against the opposite sides and when they found out that she had betrayed them they destroyed her hometown/village. Her sin was her insatiable hunger leading to the deaths of many.. Ban is thought to be responsible for taking the fountain of youth which would destroy the fairy forest, thus out of greed for immortality, when in reality he did nothing of the sort and was forced to drink it by Elaine. His sin was his greed leading to the destruction of the magical forest/home(which wasn't really his fault).

Nadia was dying from a heart disease and was on her death bed when Gowther decided to fully undress, go on top of her and tried to rip out her heart and replace it with his. The guards found him in the middle of the act and arrested him. Nadia's two brothers were there watching him about to be executed when I THINK Meliodas saved him. Gowther actually does have a heart he just erased his memory and filled it with a fake one so he didnt have to remember Nadia.

Not Exactly. Gowther did remove his heart afterwards to "negate" pain he felt after Nadia's Death. And he actively avoided getting it back. It wasn't till after King and Diane met original Gowther during their time travel/Body change training when they promised to take care of doll Gowther they found and restored his heart. Or at least that's what I remember... Been some time since I read that chapter.

I don't think so. It was the Supreme Goddess who curses Meliodas and the DK cursed Elizabeth. The reason he can remove her curse is because he will become the DK and gain the same power which was used to curse her. Who knows, maybe becoming something as powerful as the DK might cancel his own curse.

Although they do exhibit the qualities of the sins they have, in truth, almost all of the seven deadly sins are the opposite of their sins they are accused of except for maybe meliodas and escanor. Diane is the third kindest person in the series after elizabeth and elaine and sincerely cares for others but was given the sin of envy due to the human armies framed her betraying matrona, a fellow giant due to being jealous of her. Ban isn't greedy either since he don't desires things like the fountain of immortality but was wrongly accused of burning the entire fairy forest to obtain immortality. King isn't slothful either but was accused as such due to him abandoning the forest and his responsibility to diligently search for his friend helbram but ended up losing his memories. Gowther isn't lustful either since he don't understand his emotion and thought he has none but like the others was wrongly accused of raping and murdering the sister of the king of liones. Merlin's accusations is an unknown for now and while escanor is too, you can see why he would be given pride. Meliodas is the only one we sure of really being accused of the sins he committed since he did destroy the entire country due to his wrath against fraudin but was wrongly accused of killing all the citizens of danafor.

Yeah, the interesting thing is that many of the sins chose or were framed to take on those Sins.
Ban got that Sin for what he was blamed for, but obviously he didn't steal from the fountain, kill Elaine, or burn down the forest. His immense guilt for being unable to save the person he loved and being trapped with immortality pushed him to that. I think he partly took the blame because he hoped they'd find a way to kill him.
The Sins do somewhat tie into their personalities. But I agree they very much are the opposite of the sins they are known for.
King's Sin of Sloth isn't from not looking for the lost fairies, it's more that while he was distracted/away Helbram was already on a killing spree for humans, and King the leader of the Fairies had no idea one of his people was terrorizing the lands

Gluttony = Insatiability/ excessive eating (in Merlins case, excessive knowledge)
Greed = Selfish desire, especially for wealth and power. He wanted these things since he was a kid. He is a thief who steals anything that takes his interest and can take power from others to increase his own.
As I said, they are very similar. Gluttony and greed can be seen in each other.
Merlin is a glutton for knowledge. She made deals with the supreme goddess deity and the demon king to go against the opposite sides and when they found out that she had betrayed them they destroyed her hometown/village.
Her sin was her insatiable hunger leading to the deaths of many..
Ban is thought to be responsible for taking the fountain of youth which would destroy the fairy forest, thus out of greed for immortality, when in reality he did nothing of the sort and was forced to drink it by Elaine.
His sin was his greed leading to the destruction of the magical forest/home(which wasn't really his fault).
