Thank you for showing the mistake and repair. Quite often people in videos want to be seen as perfect but showing your process in the repair is invaluable.
Repair? Ha! I needed to get to the end of the video!
Thanks again Trent, this is one of the main why I watch your videos.
Thanks man
man, one of the things that makes you a pro is knowing the tolerances of your material.
"i'm gonna baby with this break" *does exactly what i do when i'm trying to break off a piece**flawless bend*
Well sir, I for one would like to see more videos where mistakes are made. It's honest and it would also show new smith's what they might need to expect when they start forging projects of their own. Well done!
Awesome Mr Trent this type of trivet will go well with my camp fire tripods🙂
Yes it will!
Appreciate the honesty of a seasoned Smith showing they screw up as well. Sometimes it is frustrating when it take 3-4 attempts before I get it right.
Well, as mentioned, Im doing these projects for the first time, right off of a picture. A dozen things Id do different every time
Thanks Trent! Glad to see I'm not the only one burning stuff up in a coal forge when I turn my back for a few seconds.
In the blink of an eye!
Ain't no shame in a mistake. It's interesting and impressive to see a smith's skills in fixing it. Great work
Turned out really good enjoyed the video! I also appreciate when you mention when and where the mistakes are made. It helps some of your viewers learn what to avoid and it shows the reality of the craft. 👍
Good looking project! Great save
I enjoy your videos and to see someone with your skills make mistakes make me want to keep working harder because I know it happens to the best of us. Thank you for doing what you do.
It always kills me to leave it in but folks really respond to the "warts and all" videos!
Tack weld the break? Or fold it back on itself and draw it out? Looks great, Trenton 🤜🤛
Throw it away and start over!
@1:00 I never noticed that ring in your videos on your vice handle before? Is that decorative, or does it have a purpose?
Not sure! This was Jay's vise and the ring has been on there since Ive had it!
Thinks Trent I don't have a welder guess I'm still in the 18 century
Thats why they made wire
What’s that book again? Between your proper southern tones, and my shit northern ears (and the bad acoustics in the crapper) I can’t seem to find it.

Hello, Trent! Are you okay? Last video is 9 month old
Yet again, something that you think is poop is still better than most(*) of what I make.

(*) Let's be honest that really should be "all of what I make"
Practice, practice!
Stop u need to be totally transparent on any comparison it's obvious your not correct so commentary deactivated you knew exactly what it would've been hitting for smart move to get views and followers
