Hey man, I have the ecoflow as well, but my heater says it’s 12/24v. And it faults on startup with just a 12v plug because it draws over 8 amps. Will it work if I use an ac style plug and plug it into the ac side or will it mess something up.
I know there are a lot of videos of people running them with a cigarette lighter plug but that is a horrible idea for the reasons you are already aware of. Absolutely you can run a power supply off of AC that is how my system is set up. This is the power supply I am using. I would go with a 30 amp model so you have plenty of headroom.

Yessir. Its law here in this state that every home is equipped with a 10 year smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. We rent and there are rental inspections here in which those are checked and verified to work. But to be real honest in order for these heaters to put off enough CO2 to hurt someone something has to be wrong. They burn extremely clean if properly adjusted and maintained.
