    Nice video. I had an issue with my River Pro a couple of years ago while on a cross-country trip. The unit stopped taking a charge. I called them up, explained the problem, and went through some quick checks over the phone. EcoFlow's customer service was very responsive. They knew was on the road and needed the River Pro back as soon as possible. I sent it in, they did the necessary repairs and got the unit back to me quickly. No complaints.

      If it's in fault, no start, but will occasionally charge/work. then it's the battery temp sensor. Open it up, look at the battery temp wire follow back to the BMS, test it for ohms and continuity, if its bad replace with 55C version and keep it near but not on the batteries.

      I will never buy an EcoFlop. So many people had them fail over and over. And no, I wouldn`t dare go inside one trying to tear it apart trying to figure which part failed. Even a person with a lot of experience and diagnostic test equipment may not have a way to repair it and an average person would be risking their lives with the amps involved if they touched the wrong area or dropped a tool or screw and shorted it out. However, unless the BMS fails in my 300ah 12v LiFeP04 battery I can repair my current system because I only have to replace the inverter, charge controller, or fuses if something fails. It`s almost always better to build your own system especially if you plan to depend on it going forward as emergency power for your home. But I also love my portable power stations but I got MAJOR unusual deals on them, and many were free, because I exploited their quirks and performance limitations to get refunds or second replacement units free when they were first released. Sellers DO NOT want a bad review on new products, so I used my head to come out ahead, which is much harder to do now, but it worked well then. I got 5 free, and promotional deals on another 5, and only paid full price for one and it`s a 300w LiFeP04 so a deal regardless. I`m poor and used the stimulus money very wisely and live in a camper in hurricane country. My batteries have changed my life.@@ericklein5097

      I would say after a year of using constant as a UPS, *RIVER 2 MAX 450 wh* It has lost that much battery ability in a year. Very sad too. Running it on 2 solar panels ( 125 watt ) and it gets full charge and unless cloudy never drops under 20% except a few times which showed its deterioration in ability. It is running the same identical 8 camera security system but has less to work with as it ages. Took it off solar, used AC on it only, then the problem was verified. They are not as advertised!

    I Recently just brought the uk version of the ECOFLOW RIVER Pro 2. And I can not get my 2x 60 watt panels to work on it at all. The mains and usb-c charges fine. Not sure what to do is there some sort of fault with the solar port.

      See what the voltage from the panels is, and be sure they are wired right to the plug for your Pro 2. Many shipped with backwards plugs.

    River 2 pro has 800w inverter+800w surge. And with the app and a simple flick you have 1600w for things like hairdryer. But you probably know that now.

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  8 месяцев назад

      Yes, stats are as advertised but capability on a 1170 watt hair drier was a fail. Trying that max wattage for over 5 seconds faulted it at 1170 watts but it would run 900 watts ok.

    On the River 2 Mini (small one) - i bought it as a router UPS (LPF battery vs SLA's) and on the never off (but plugged in all the time) it does a random shutdown. Battery 100% - 120 vac in 100% - StarLink is on a seperate 12 / 53 volt step up POE router. The randomness is between 8-36 hours, talked with tech support (e-mails actually) repeatedly and what a bunch of clowns. Repeatedly asked the same questions, is software up to date? is the battery charged?, etc. It's function now is a 10# paperweight.

      We ran a 49 liter freezer on one, a hour later it was off, in error code. No one noticed it for 3 days since it was plugged in to 120 volt and we were using the DC outlet as a source for the freezer. $300 in cleaned and ready gulf shrimp ruined. All due to poor ability to supply a full 10 amps since the freezer ran on only 9.2 start and 7.4 running. Every one I have since tested fails at under 10 amps. No excuse for it.

      @@JOHNDANIEL1 ah. If you're comparing a lighter socket from the days when they were used to actually light cigarettes, then yeah. look at the build quality of that socket in your truck compared to the sheet metal, plastic, and fiberglass of those today. If the manufacturers put truck lighter sockets in their products, then 15-20a would be possible.
