    your tuts are both interesting and engaging - just like your awesome artwork! I do a lot of work in Unreal but it is becoming more and more obvious (for stylized work) that iClone is all you need! Do you do any work with 3d imported backgrounds / sets (or is it mostly 2d backgrounds so far)?

    • @animashinka

    Very nice tutorial ...however I owld liketo see how you set up your background environment using images...also the lights in the lamps...not clear if those lamps are part of background image or a 3D prop

    • @animashinka
      @animashinka  2 года назад

      Hi Rodney, thank you very much for your comment! I am quite new to making videos, but any improvement tips and recommendations are highly appreciated! 👍 To answer your questions here:
      - I lightly showcased the environments in my previous video (they are really messy, I only cared for the 2D end result and it shows), most of the props are flat planes, mainly because the final product is supposed to be a flat image. I find this to be quite useful and efficient when you want to do backgrounds that your character will never interact with and as long as the camera doesn't move too much (of course). (Bear in mind, I got into 3D softwares this year, so feel free to disagree with any of my "tips")
      - The Lamps however are 3D props I got from CGtrade. Flat images can do the same thing as long as you add a glow map on the right spot, but it would've taken me forever to find lamps photos with the right perspective. Same with the trees - I believe three of the closer trees are 3D props, but the bushes and any background trees are 2D to save time. Let me know if you would like me to share some screenshots of the environment from different angles or a short clip. Don't expect anything super special though XD
      - In this image, I used a lot more 3D props than in the other ones I showcase in my previous video, but the "technique" is pretty much the same. The only reason I picked this one for the current video is because it had the most Post Effect LUTs that I could go through.😃
      If you have any questions or comments feel free to ask. Nevertheless, your comment gave me an inspiration for a possible video where I can go deeper into building a simple environment and lighting it. 😏💡

      @@animashinka I am complete in awe and inspired by you...I've been playing around with 3D apps for little over 3 years..and not nearly as gifted and talented as you. The thought of you only doing 3d for a year and to be that good..baffles me..I really need to get busy..I've loked all over you tube and can't find a decent step b step video tutorial about setting up environments with planes Adolpho Antareus has a decent one but he leaves alot of info out... it pretty much shows his workflow but its not really a How To.... broken down step by step..and their is literally nothing out there on LUTS with the exception of your awesome tutorials...Would really appreciate it if you have the time to give a step by step breakdown of how you created the Gopick environment.along with your light settings

    Really not clear oon your process..at frame 1:24 where you ad the 3point light from the lightroom ..you scene setup shows 11 different light settings..but in Iclone there are really only 3 settings in the 3 point light (Rim, Fill, and Back Lights only) You need to explain where you are getting the other lights from for example keylight 1and keylight 2 s well as the others...they do not automatically show up in the scene settings as is suggested in this tutorial

    • @animashinka
      @animashinka  2 года назад

      Hey Rodney!! No problem! I am still new to making video tutorials and I hope I get better at organizing my explanations soon. To answer your question: I attach these 3 lights (Key1, key2 and back) to the character. I do it because I want to keep them focused on him, so when I move him anywhere I don't have to move the lights too. Their sole purpose are to light him in a nice way, not worry about the background. The location and positions don't matter as much, because all you need is the result to look good 😅 That's how I see it, not the best logic. You can use the "3 Point Lighting" option in Iclone to start with and play around :) hope this helps.

    • @rodcav3
      @rodcav3 2 года назад +1

      @@animashinka Thanks for your reply I appreciate it..but it doesn't answer my question . My question is about your 3 point light setup and the other lights you have shown in the interface (you have 11) which are completely different from what Iclone default 3 point light is showing...the 3 point lighting system only has 3 and they are not key lights they are Back, Rim, and Fill Lights...When you select Create/Light the only options Iclone provides are Directional, Spotlight and Point light..there is no "Keylight"..see link here to compare your light settings in the tutorial with what I'm referring to ...ruclips.net/video/z5hbR8hT69s/видео.html so my question is where are you getting the "Keylight" from or are you choosing a spotlight , directional or point light and just renaming it keylight and if so which one are you choosing spot, point or directional, or are you using an add on or plugin ????

    • @animashinka
      @animashinka  2 года назад

      @@rodcav3 hey Rodney, hmmm, ok, I don't know why, but my lights are named differently 😅 or maybe it's because I usually transfer the default lights from CC3. Do you have CC3? Regardless, they are all spotlights. Just the names are different. You still need to position them yourself and play with the settings. I don't use the default settings. That's why my aim was to show what each light should accomplish rather than telling everyone where exactly to place the lights, since results will vary according to character's pose, rotation, etc. :)

    • @rodcav3
      @rodcav3 2 года назад

      @@animashinka Yes I have the alatest version of CC3..and if I understand you correctly you are just basically using spotlights and renaming them..is that right

    • @animashinka
      @animashinka  2 года назад
