I'd like to point out how the Slaking and Palafin comparison isn't really that fair since Palafin's quote unquote "weakness" is mitigated by ... switching out and then you don't have to worry about it for the rest of the game.
Also it gets STAB Flip Turn for shit and giggles.
...And it gets priority, but it's not just Aqua Jet, it gets its line's signature move, Jet Punch, for no reason. This isn't even much of a buff, but still ... why?
And on top of that, it gets good setup since it doesn't need to boost speed due to the aforementioned priority, it gets massive BP Coverage in CC, as well as Ice Punch and Zen Headbutt (if you really wanted to) to nail resists, and all of this comes off of that massive 160 Base Attack stat. But generally you don't even need that since Wave Crash is a goddam delete button.
Like this mf essentially just goes Super Saiyan after the high cost of uh ... switching out. "MUCH BETTER THAN TRUANT AND SLOW START" is kind of a heavy understatement. I would barely consider Zero to Hero a drawback ability at this point considering how much they gave Palafin to "compensate."
Oh yeah, and this abomination is D rank in Ubers. Generation 9 Powercreep has been a hell of a ride.
