little improvement: put thrusters on the invisible props so the mech can jump
To make jumpjets for mech supported by invisible props I reccomend using a wire hoverball that is ONLY activated when the jumpjets are used. This is impossible to do without wiremod though.
Using thrusters for jumpjets for this type of mech will only make it tilt over and you loose controll in my experience
I love Gmod because even if I want to make something but I don’t know what, I always end up having an idea.
And I create stuff like the house from Up but with manhacks instead of balloons.

Hey, it took some time but have now hand-typed English subtitles for this video!!!
Remember you can translate the English subtitles to any language even though parts are oddly translated (I tested Swedish translation of my English subs) it is understandable!!! so now this video will work for all gmod players! ^^

Lmao I'm dying when he says collide and balance
This tutorial is great, but what if I'm playing in multiplayer server and they don't allow turrets? Do you have an alternative way to equip it with a weapon using gmod's common construct tool?
Syafiq Ibrahim Often they do forbid turrets and explosives for a reason, however if you make a good old sledgehammer they can't really forbid it! Other ways are if the server have ACF (a mod, look on my channel for acf weaponshow and you get it) or Pewpew (an other mod), also if you play on a wire server there is pre-made expression 2 weapons if you search the web, and got the wire skills to install them.

Make it without the turrets
Your tutorials are well done, just please remove the loud woosh in the beginning, I always have to lower the sound and then raise it back up due to it being loud and your voice being fairly low...

Of course you can! that is the whole point!!! :)
About stability, check the weights on the leg props in proportion to the feet props, if legs are too light it gets unstable

I noticed the way you say "Mech" and "Balance", and it makes me smile a bit whenever I hear it, because it is a cool way of saying it.
I also noticed that you had a LOT of Addons that help a LOT with building things like Mechs, and things that need that perfect balance for it to work.
I looked up some of the Addons I saw in your Tools list, found them (After like an hour x .x), and are using them now in my GMod every time I build.
Can you show me a list or something of the Addons you use to build? (Example: The Weight Addon, Smartsnap Addon.)
Oh, and this Mech tut is really really helpful, because now I know how to make a basic Mech, I'm going to use this knowledge to make Bigger, Smaller, Faster, Slower, etc. Mechs.
You're really good at making Mechs, you never even used E to move your mouse to the points of where those Dot things were. (Smartsnap)

One more thing, though, towards the end of this tut, I noticed that the feet and base prop were something like 500 weight units.. Did you forget to say something about that?

Hi there! I have a question. I see whenever you use the axis and the other tools a grid appears on the side of the prop. Who can I enable it?
Edit: example: on 1:21 when you pointed the no colide tool at the prop a grid appeared on it's side

Nice work dude! One thing, I couldnt hear your voice very well with my computer volume turned all the way up so i didnt hear if you said what atributes you had the axis and everything on...
Thanks! the axis is just regular axis applies through right click, the props are nocollided before axising.. is see if i can fix volume in future... in some way

i followed step by step what you did, but when i try to walk my mech just rotates in place
use less powerful thrusters if it starts spinning, more powerful under if it does not lift its legs, you need to tweak every mech to perfection ^^

may you please fix this video, as of it no longer works in GM13, were axis moves the object. can you please make a fixed version were we can make joints, to make anything with as many limbs as we want? (E.G. arms, legs, wings, neck, etc)
wait, found a way to fix it! just put a circle or something for a connector to connect the axis to.

Btw - I've re-made the OLD keep upright tool, but I haven't released it yet.
It has different modes too - Keep upright depending on the prop's current angle, Keep upright so the prop's top side is always up, keep upside-down, and the ability to input your own Pitch/Yaw/roll.
... I haven't released it yet though, but I will soon.

i need help with freezing items on mac air because its right click to freeze items but its scroll to change weapons and my problem is is with my mac you put 2 fingers on the touchpad and move them to scroll but to right click you have to again put two fingers on the touch pad but click and so when i try to right click it scrolls the weapons instead :( can you help??
I strongly recommend you buying an USB mouse! playing gmod with touchpad is just making things hard 4 you, buy an usb mini mouse! they are very functional!

How is this mech so solid. I try to make a mech and it just collapses.
make hover balls more powerful and it will work
I also tried to make a mech armor with sprops. The armor is like a suit for a ragdoll. But when i unfreeze it the ragdoll spazzes out of the mech. I heard that people said that sprops is buggy.

On the workshop, don't know why its not in vanilla cause EVERYBODY uses it :p

ah, ok, ticarex is new to me but is seems to remain version 11 of gmod, Steam is the usual platform for gmod, as it it a mod you also need a game of the same engine, i do not know if tf2 (which is free) will work...
