hi Scott, I just purchased G9, I wish you had tutorial videos for that camera. Your way of explanation and your tone of voice lends itself to a perfect instructor. best.
THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO, IT HAS HELPED SO MUCH RE TETHER WITH PANASONIC AND CAPTURE ONE, so few views for such a great and helpful video, just shows that the most useful videos do not always get the recognition they deserve
Wow, I had no idea that I can actually plug in a Micro USB cable to charge the G9! Thank you for this most interesting tidbit. Because my G9 refuses to charge on a USB power hub using the regular 3.0 Micro B port--the light keeps flashing red. However it charges fine with any iPhone wall plug (1A), but it won't charge with an iPad adapter (2.4A). I'm guessing that by using a Micro USB, the power output is dropped enough for my G9 to accept it.
Scott, I want to use my phone on site for photography, a larger screen view! Can I do away with the on-screen controls and use my camera while looking at the phone screen for configuring adjustments. I would keep a horizontal look and not vertical! Thank you in advance.
Unfortunately the phone app is pretty low rez, with no way to increase the image area (and minimize the control areas). You'd need a device/display with an HDMI input to get larger/higher rez display.
I only just found your channel. I have watched a few videos now. How about a look at V2 G9 firmware update and how to find and use the new features? I am reading the new manual now. So far I have found the new animal setting, the near/far focussing options, the new mode for high res, and I have started looking at the new video features (although I do not use video too much. A really in-depth look would be interesting. Hopefully you continue to make new G9 content.
Ver nice and very useful video. Thank you for that. Am having an interesting issue with my MacBook Pro. Installed software without issue (twice). Upon launch the recording panel is briefly displayed and quickly overlaid with a blank page - presumably the EULA - but it never actually displays and hangs indefinitely (often with an error message indicating some action could not be performed.) Then, if I should disconnect and reconnect the cable the recording panel is actually displayed and reflects and responds to actions taken on the camera, which is great... However, the recording panel itself is inert and no button, nor drop down can be actioned. Anyone seen something of the kind? Feels like a resource was not accessible or available but no error message is generated, for some reason. Works fine on my PC/Windows 10 though, which exonerates the camera and USB cables. Mac is running Mojave 10.14.3 - the latest (short of Apple's latest minefield) @Christopher Moore, the interface is exactly the same on Windows 10.

Thank you! This video resolved the issue I had looking how to connect to the DJI Ronin RSC2 gimbal.

Mine only charges with the camera on. The. The red light stays on. Used hdmi and usb into ac outlet.
Very helpful. Would like more in depth about powering please. Thank you.
Hola, buen día, yo tengo una GH4, hay programa para esta cámara?
I tried 3 micro usb cables before it worked.. I also turned the camera on (for 'storage') once it was connected

I am afraid I ditched my G9 and went back to Nikon. Just too many restrictions that just seem arbitrary.
Great informative video. Very helpful
Thanks! Super useful!
Good video

@Christopher Moore, the interface is exactly the same on Windows 10.
Try booting in safe mode and see if it works.
@@ScottinPollock Yes, great idea. Will try that.
This video is fine... IF YOU ARE ON A MAC. What about all us PC folks??????????
Sorry, I don't have a PC.
