Hey Steve you need to get some headlamps so that way both hands can be free. I use the Coast 405 it's light weight and you just wear it on your forehead you don't need to wear it on a hardhat.

had to drain my expansion tank the other day, Boy was it FULL!!!! hasnt been done in many many years! didn't even know it was thing? my big old boiler expansion tank is atleast 60 years old and working fine.after the drain. do they not make those old tanks anymore or would i have to go with those bladder filled new tanks? just wondering in case i do have problems in the future?
You should get a tripod stand for your camera so that you can get clips of you taking the tank off and installing it instead of having to hold your camera

Cant you bleed off little to drop pressure to just above inlett feeder pressure then turn on heat to get final pressure?? And if too high set inlet feeder pressure lower to start at lower preesure before heat up ? Also understan total volume of water expanding determines the final pressure and if tank can't absorb expansion then pressure gets too high.
