About this one: it started with the "Wardrobe incident": Floor had difficulties when changing her outfit (failing zip) and as you can see she had to run for the mic. She missed it first, but managed to start singing just in time. The zip was fixed later during the GLS interlude.
I had forgotten about that. I remember now, when she walks off-stage during GLS you can see she reaches under her arm to fix the zipper.
Fun Fact: Floor running for the mic and arriving a half beat late thanks to a stubborn zipper. Check under her left arm, the zipper didn't go to the top. We can see the problem at 7:28 on your video. When she leaves for the interlude in GLS, you can see her check the zipper. Imagine having a costume problem when 82,000 fans are waiting for you.
Multiple wardrobe changes was a Tarja thing that was continued as single changes after she left. On this tour, Floor had taken over from Anette so she stayed with the one change routine. Once this tour was done, wardrobe changes went out the window. The other singers needed breaks afforded by the wardrobe change, but Floor is that Energizer bunny that never quits.
Anyone who wears a Skyrim t shirt and loves Nightwish is a thoroughly wonderful human in my opinion. Once again thank you for your most excellent Nightwish reactions and greetings from England 🏴 UK 🇬🇧🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘👍

It's so great to watch your reactions - you are simply so loving it all.
If you do a completely Wacken, Wembley, Tampere or Buenos Aires reaction ( or all...) you will also get the vibes from the concerts - abd that's special on each and every Nightwish concert. They are so much in dialog with the audience - I really hope you will experience it yourselves soon.
Interestingly enough most of what you have checked so far was originally made for Tarja or Anette. But Floor is so versatile that she performs both Anette's and Tarja's eras songs seamlessly.

You guys need to see her performance cover of one of the winning Eurovision songs called Euphoria. It was for last years Beste Zangers Eurovision special. Floor doing Floor things, even though she could not travel as she was recovering from emergency gallbladder surgery. They managed to do it with band in the Netherlands & her in her home studio in Sweden. So great.
This band and Floor only get better, the more you see and hear, you will be more and more amazed.
If you get time try Ghost Love Score live at Buenos Aires 2012 . And just here the crowd just shouting Floor at the end ..

I would suggest you to check out their documentari "Please learn the setlist in 48 h" and react it too 😉 some reactors have done it and it's always nice to watch it with reactors. It also gives lot of information about the band.

It’s so much fun watching people discover Nightwish. It’s equally fun watching people discover Sabaton. You should check out Christmas Truce. Floor is married to Sabaton’s drummer and lends her amazing vocals at the end of the song. Then you’ll have another rabbit hole to explore.
Happy New Year guys. I thought I'd leave a comment, since you're reacting to one of my favourite songs. This is the first song from the 'Century Child' album. The song features spoken parts at the start and at the end (you don't hear everything in this live version). In these spoken parts there are numerous references to other songs on this album.
About the meaning of this song; to me "The Child" is a personification of childhood innocence, something Tuomas has written about more than once. As a child, you can’t wait to grow up, you don’t realize how fast time goes by. Once you’re older, you miss looking at life the way a child does (carefree and with wonder); “Why am I loved only when I'm gone?” So “Bless The Child"; look back on your life and cherish your memories.
Doing a reaction to the whole Wacken show is never a bad idea. I've seen it many times, but I never mind watching it again. Greetings from the Netherlands.

My 5, 123rd time the Wacken or Buenios Aires, or Bogota, or Tempere or Wembly concerts on live steam, Utube , Blue Ray, a UF0 or any other platform you chose. My answer would be YES!!Even though I just heard my favorite Nightwish song because as you know, My Favorite Nightwish song is always the last one I listened to!! Quick note: a lot of Reactors I found use the Nightwish Army to get their numbers up because they realize how passionate the Nightwish army is, thank you two for just being genuine & honest and enjoying your exploration and allowing the Nightwish Army to share your reactions! About the livestream idea; I personally don't enjoy watching livestream reactions as much, I feel like the chat and all distracts from the song, and I really just enjoy seeing people experience the music. But I know a lot of people enjoy livestreams, so it's really up to how you two want to do it! I'm sure you're gonna have a great time whichever way you watch it!

This is one of my fav's. Underrated in my opinion. Very deep and poetic lyrics. Unfortunately, Troy does not play on this song. It is an older one from 2002 originally sung by Tarja. This is why Floor makes all of the songs from Nightwish work. Her ability to do any style. Troy only started to be a guest musician for Nightwish in 2007 on the "Dark Passion Play" record. If you love his contributions to Nightwish, check out the songs from the 2018 Decades tour from Buenos Aires. He plays on almost every song. Sometimes the pipes, or the tin whistles, or bouzouki, or just electric guitar. Live or recorded, either would be great. Have a great 2022. 🥂🎊🎉🤘 See you very soon.

The contrast between guitar, keys, drums and lights going HARD vs Floor's never-changing angelic voice is so huge. Never seen comparable song to this.
Few things about full concert: blu-ray version has printing error where sound is 5% slower (noticable), wouldn't recommend it; people who did live concert stream would get blocked around Nemo (don't know why, maybe someone has solution), I know there is a version to watch with subtitles to all songs (adds so much to experience).

When you cover a little bit more ground in Nightwish territory. You should react to some documentaries as well. "Please Learn The Setlist in 48 Hours" and "Making of New Album (EFMB)" series are good options. The second one is available from NW official channel.

There is indeed a Tarja version of this song from the (in)famous End of an Era concert and it is beautiful too. But there is one big difference. When Floor sings "...to drink it is to follow the lefthand path..." she raises her left hand. And Floor does this always. I have seen it live in person and on multiple RUclips videos. When Tarja sings the same phrase she raises her ... right hand.
A Wacken 2013 stream is always fine, but if you like to do one never done before (?): the full Buenos Aires 2018 show, as amazing as Wacken!

The child bless thee and keep thee forever" reminds me a bit of "Dead Boy's Poem" ("I wish I wouldn't feel for you anymore"). Both haven't arrived in the world of adults yet, with their growing records of disenchantments and mortifications. Keep (her) forever in your memories by staying in that childish mind setup.
But how can Tuomas write such poetry without experiencing it? Whom he met, when he was a child/boy (at school)? Whom he invited into his band and spend much time with? For whom he delayed his musical plans (initially he wanted to make accoustic campfire music probably much like his AURI-project) ? For whom he wrote tailor-made songs instead ? Why he became so emotional after all, thinking about suicide, writing angry songs towards another man? Expect an outburst of his anger at a song dedicated to...you will know when listening to Master Passion Greed (as angry as Tuomas gets)
Great job fellas , remember the Wacken show Floor had only been with them for 10 months and all the songs are wrote for Tarja & Annette because they were finishing the tour that Floor joined in the middle of it . Notice Floor was almost late? This song was right after an instrumental while Floor was changing and she almost didn't make it back in time. In fact the zipper under her left arm isn't zipped fully during this song.
If you think Floor is versatile wait till you get to her singing in German, Spanish and Dutch in the tv series Beste Zangers. Just keep doing what you’re doing as you’re doing a fine job lads. Just a word of advice though don’t be too quick to cut the video. Sometimes they add extras in which you will be missing.
You should do the full Wacken show, either live or recorded. Stay on the Nightwish journey!
You are correct in that this song was made for Tarja. She did the first 5 records and this song was on the 4th (Century Child)
As for next, one of my favorites that you haven't done yet is Nemo. You can choose either Floor at Wacken or Tarja from the End of an Era concert in Helsinki for this song.
And when you get to The Greatest Show on Earth, which is from the 8th record and first with Floor, there are 2 great versions to choose. The Wembley show has Richard Dawkins in person, or the outdoor Tampere show with fireworks.
Be aware that if you want to watch the full concert, there are issues with the North American region-coded Blu-ray of Wacken in that it apparently got encoded in a way that produces a slower than original playback.

I love this song done by both Tarja and Floor. The album version is wonderful. I always feel that this performance at Wacken still wasn’t the fully realised live version of the Floor era but great anyway. Champion song.
Oh, and sure thing, a full watching of Wacken 13 never goes astray. Live or not, I’ll still watch it.

You will be advised to use the DVD of Wacken, not the BluRay as BluRay had an issues with speed. Lots of peoplec will moan if you use the BluRay. I believe there is a fan-made version of the BluRay where someone has gone to the enormous lengths of dubbing correct speed audio to the bluray video but I don't know if youtube quality makes it worth the effort really.
Buenos Aires 2018 is a good concert worth doing complete too. The audience, though smaller of course, is fanatical - Tuomas says they are the most fanatical of all the fan groups worldwide.
The whole concert is always a good idea, whether it be live or not. The best source for the concert is this one, which is a remastered and speed corrected version which is very good. ruclips.net/video/cAwtzi7Q3Bk/видео.html. Looking forward to it. You guys are great.
With emphasis on SPEED CORRECTED, my bearded friends. There exists a blu-ray capture of this Wacken 2013 concert which for mysterious reasons is slowed down by est. 6%. Not too dramatic you might think, but very much noticeable if you know how the songs originally were performed. It's a real shame if you realize that Floor's high pitched notes in reality even sounded higher.
Aegon the Dragon said it: Most of what you have checked so far was made for Tarja or for Anette. That‘s the point. Don’t get me wrong, I love Floor‘s voice. But again you miss the chance to check out Tarja. And you haven‘t heard her yet. The one you listened to with Tarja and Floor (Over the hills) was crap due to the technical problems they had with the microphones. Tarja has a sopranic voice, she really made the ground for the success of Nightwish.
If you go by strictly Gabriel’s list, you’ll miss out on some of NW most popular performances. Or, you won’t get to them until you’ve done all of his favorite Floor versions. Phantom of the Opera and Wishmaster, from End of an Era, are amazing as well. There’s a lot of great music that isn’t on his list.
Absolutely nothing in this concert was written for Floor. All the fans at Waken were experiencing her taking possession, and making her own, the Nightwish back catalogue. You can see what they thought of her arrival.

This was Floor’s 1st concert as a permanent member in 2013. All the songs were written aimed at the other two singers, but Floor makes them her own, & as she said the band heard hers practicing a different ending for Ghost Love score, & they loved it, & changed it. Storytime sounds different. I don’t particularly go for the comparisons, because Floor owns them to me. I would enjoy the whole concert with you guys, never watched it like that, but don’t particularly like live streams, because I love the music, & have learned to turn off the comments, but them the host starts speaking back or answering questions, taking us away from the music. Then I am distracted, & not sure what the conversation is. A I am in it for the music, & your comments to it, not talking to someone else nothing to do with what I am watching & hearing. I think you might enjoy it more yourself, staying in your flow.

I would love to see your reaction to Nightwish concerts but first I would recommend to react to the documentary “Please, learn the setlist in 48”. There’s no spoilers because you will hear only snippets of songs, like “Storytime” or the first song that Floor sang live in (US Tour), which was “Dark Chest of Wonders”. You already have reacted to this two. You will get deep into the Nightwish history and you will know the members and their personality better. It explain perfectly how Annete left the band and Floor had only 48h to flight to US, learn the setlist and kick ass in the first concert. It’s a 2h documentary, so you can do it in two times if it’s too long. Maybe to celebrate your 3k subscribers?

Maybe print them or put them on another screen. These lyrics are deep. When you do Dead Boys Poem from Buenos Aires and read the lyrics, you may cry. Well done gentlemen.

Ah, this one has such quintessential 'Century Child' sound. Still my favourite album from them, probably.
Also, the Pirates of the Caribbean (and even King Arthur ) vibes have a simple explanation: Tuomas is *very* influenced by Hans Zimmer in particular, and sometimes you can really hear it.
