That’s my plan all along. I love Mercedes but I was an Audi guy way before. Planning on the future to add more cars. Even a JDM and supercar. Of course, if budget permits. lol
I have a4 b6 cabriolet 3.0 v6 sport fwd ... i cut out the middle resoanater plus both rear mufflers and had MIJ build me 2 new stainless mufflers leading onto 4 stunning 4” stainless tail pipes ... the look is insane the sound is ...... loud and aggresive, cost all in was £395.00 ..... nice 🤩🤩🤩
It sounds nice 👌 and looks gorgeous 😍 I have same car same year and Sline but all black. My first mods were stage 2 paint correction and ceramic coating. CTS COLD AIR INTAKE,CTA TURBO MUFFLER DELETE, CTS DIVERTER BLOW OFF VALVE. YOU PRETTY MUCH HEAR THE TURBO SCREAM. I WILL BE DOING THIS MOD AS WELL.
I'm still in search for one for a good price. Everything I do for this car is on a budget (if possible). No way I'll spend more than $250 on a steering wheel. I'll just keep my eyes peels on deals online or junkyards.
Interesting. I actually do like that there's some rasp to it. I might do this for my B9 A4. It'll also cost less than what I was planning. I do have a downpipe installed though, so my mileage may vary.
Since you had the exhaust on one side and not the other, when u did your custom exhaust to have 2 u didn’t need nothing to hold the pipes? Or any heat shields nothing? I’ve been wanting to this to mine but I seen on Audi-forums u needed all kinds of stuff and I’m still a bit confused. Any help?
Yup. Exactly! That’s what any good exhaust shop should be able to do. If an exhaust shop only welds on components and don’t know how to fabricate their own piping to run underneath your car, then they should not be considered an “exhaust shop”.
hello! whats your opinion if i delete both resonators and just install a single bullet style resonator and connect it with the same magnaflow muffler as you did?
I couldn’t get that aggressive without either removing the mufflers or the cats. Those delete would make the exhaust illegal in my state. But it’s pretty decent sound for a 4 cylinder.
I passed inspection 2 years with no issues. Most states you just need a catalytic converter and a muffler. Doesn’t matter who makes it. But that’s up to you to do your own research.
@@joelshrestha8054 if you delete the centre muffler which is the first muffler it’ll be extremely loud, one some cars it sounds good on other not so much, removing the second res and aftermarket muffler should be all good
I have audi a4 2017 with muffler delete and the middle resonator delete too. The guy in muffler shop convinced me to put cherry boom on that resonator. I did and it sound just ok. I’m thinking put magnaflow like you on. What you think Flexx?
That's it bro you want to enjoy the car wherever you go i had a fucking remus on my a3 and it used to give me headaches driving at low revs on a highway that deep low base was hurting my head lol
No need on my car. On the right side is just a tube to exhaust tip. It doesn’t get as hot like if a muffler was there. Zero issues so far and I did the same setup with my previous Benz and no issues for over 5 years.
Add up the parts (diffuser, muffler, tips) and throw in a few hundred for labor. Not all shops gonna charge the same to run the custom pipes. You need to do your own research for your area. Including if it’s legal or not.
Umm. Not really understanding your question but… 1) I removed the stock resonator and the stock muffler and stock tip. 2) in place of those things, I have 1 new muffler and it’s piped to the quad tips. 3) a muffler is required in most states. I don’t do mods to break the laws in the state I live in. I rather have an aftermarket muffler then a stock muffler. They sound completely different.
@@TheFlexxGarage Ah, I'm sorry my question wasn't clear enough. See, removing the muffler is legal where I live so I was curious if it was worth even having one after removing the resonator. But after watching the video and comparing it to a full back cat, this actually sounds better. There seems to be way less drone and annoying fart noises but it still sounds super aggressive. Btw, how much did it cost you do get all the custom pipework done?
Yeah, I’m not a fan of muffler deletes on a car you daily. Plus I have neighbors who wouldn’t like the cold starts. Not sure if you saw, but I did later put a downpipe on the car with a high flow cat, and it deletes my front resonator. Car sounds even more raspy and louder. Now that caused a lot of drone to the point I had to always drive on sport mode to keep the rpms high to kill the drone but I was burning through fuel like a mofo. Most good muffler shops will charge about $300-$500 to connect and pipe everything. Cost depends on the shop and depends on if you want aluminum or stainless steel.
@@TheFlexxGarage Oh that makes complete sense, thank you for the info! You're a real G. I think I'll go with a setup like this for my A5, I also don't want to annoy my neighbours but I would like it to sound a bit more "punchy" if that makes sense.
Not louder. Maybe a tad raspier. You can’t make a 4cyl engine that loud unless you delete the muffler but then you get drone and deleting the muffler is illegal in most states.
Nope. Mufflers need heat shield cause it’s a lot of metal surface area. The muffler is in the stock resonator spot that has heat shield. Only thing coming out the back are 2-2.5” piping that’s not gonna give off so much heat it melts things.
Awesome video. Question. I have an A4 with an APR tune and turbo muffler delete and a few other things. I have the 1st resonator deleted. How do think it will sound with just the muffler you installed with your set up?
I’m saving up for an A4 and will also be doing a quad exit conversion but now I’m curious how would it sound like with your set up but also deleting the first resonator

Hey Alex, question for you. Why did you choose the 13235 XL muffler and not the 11236 that other people have used? Is this one a bit more quiet? Buying this set up this week :)
@@TheFlexxGarage thanks for the reply Alex! That was my initial thought. Although the 13235 XL is single inlet/outlet. The difference I think is in the sound attenuation since one is larger than the other, I don’t want it to be too loud so I think I’m gonna order the one you have (13235 XL) and put the Y pipe after it
Oh wait. I confused the muffler on my benz for your question. Yes, both of those mufflers are single inlet to single outlet. I picked the 13235 XL cause I know the sound I was gonna get and I know it will fit.
Hey man I got a 2014 a4 and I seen your other video with the rear diffuser so that will fit my car? I have the single exhaust on the left side get back to me I appreciate it
One has a bigger opening then the other. Stock pipes are usually 2.0-2.25” in diameter so I rather have a tip or muffler that’s close to that so it’s easier for the shop to connect them.
