The Attack Copter was the best form your character could get outside of Wi-Fi rewards forms. You could actually get it as early on as reaching the third stage (Antartica/Qatar) by raising your wanted level to 4, causing them to spawn and give chase to you.

There are a few things I wanted to mention about Shockwave and a theory on why he is so janky in alt mode as well as his textures being in very low quality First up is about the turret mode. It is actually a Super Howitzer, the reason why it's "super" is because it is scaled up for the helicopter mode so there wouldn't be any mass shifting Second thing I want to point out is his actual size. Shockwave's scale isn't set to 1.0 like every other character in the game but rather is set to 1.5, setting him to 1.0 makes him about the size of Ironhide in game. I'm assuming this was done for the same reason as the Super Howitzer being being upscaled so that there wouldn't be any mass shifting between modes. Setting the scale to 1.0 also kind of helps with the camera in helicopter mode as you are not inside the vehicle anymore. Speaking of the helicopter, the wheels are purple for some reason, not sure why but they are Last thing I want to mention is his animations. A lot of Shockwave's animations and playstyle is very similar to DroneMig, almost all of his animations are exactly the same except for Combo_3c and possibly a few others. All his other animations are pretty much from DroneMig (or at least the animation cycle) and were just copy pasted to Shockwave including the transformation minus the giant explosion he causes when transforming into vehicle mode (could also explain why the model suddenly becomes darker during transformation). It's pretty obvious that is the case considering a lot of his animations and even his model names have "drone_" in front of them What I believe happened was that to save on time and money, they already had Shockwave's models made but not anything else. Based on prototype footage it's very likely that not all the main characters were done when Shockwave's model was finished but the drones were, so they basically copied over all of DroneMig's animations onto Shockwave and called it a day as there's no sense on creating a bunch of new animations for a character that was only going to appear twice in a boss fight. It also explains why the textures are so hideous as they didn't really need to put a lot of effort into making them plus if he does use drone data, there may have been some problems with drone creatures having higher res textures (sounds kind of dumb I know but it's the best explanation I can come up with)
Honestly speaking, this is one of my favorite Shockwave designs ever! I love how big and armored he is! and the fact that he turns into a cool decked-out helicopter (which we haven't seen before) really makes me happy! Though I just really wish they would have made a toy of this guy, I would have loved it to bits... That reminds me! do you ever plan to skin Shockwave at some point? I sometimes wonder when Hasbro gets around to making Gamer Edition figures for these characters if your videos will help them. You seriously put in a lot of effort with these videos and go through the details of the models. I appreciate your work man!
This incarnation of Shockwave that appeared in Transformers: The Game is so awesome, I like how his design is bulky, and how he looks alot closer to his G1 counterpart. I like how this portrayal of Shockwave is what he would look like if he had a earth alt-mode which is a Boeing AH-64 Apache helicopter instead of an cybertronian alt-mode where he's either a gun or an tank.
I believe the options for fallback were restored for the 2.0 mod, but are offline for the base game. I imagine it is some sort of distinction to make certain enemies harder to eliminate.

You could throw something at Shockwave while he was transforming back to robot mode in the base game and pick him up iirc. Megatron too, both extremely rare because of time windows. Brawl had a glitch where if you did a jump attack on him he would get stuck and you can pick him up too but he’d be standing and the moment you threw him he’d recover and start a combo immediately. …I think I play this game too much as a kid 😅
Ya I have played the game numerous times and knew how to pick up shockwave and Megatron by throwing objects Well you can pick up Megatron easily if you go to that tiny hill in the park and hit him while falling down this works the same for dreadWing as well.The only audobot that can't be picked up is Optimus in the the day of machines when you're fighting him as megatron.i tried before if he could be picked up but seems you cant actually. Also I didn't know you could possibly pick up brawl because I tried that before.
@@RingUnit643 Optimus has functions on how to pick him up However there are 2 problems First off in Optimus’s Attributes.cfg he has a flyback enabled this cause him to be immune to any flybacks at all unless caused by Dronemig’s farting transformation and Megatron’s flame And second he doesn’t have any picked up animations at all but they are in his animation folder By Using other character’s picked up anim you can restore this unused content And by going into Optimus’s attributes and disabling the flyback part and Vola
Unfortunately he only has functional animations for picking up poles. You can technically mod it so he uses the pole animations to pickup Autobots and it kind of works, but it isn't perfect.

As far as the mod work go, he only needs the camera fix in robot form (so that his torso doesn't take all the screen) and the helicopter fix (to Again make the camera work) and so that in flight he moves and works more like Blackout.
The best way to counter all the camera problems is to swap Shockwave's files over Blackout's. It both makes his helicopter function better and pulls the camera back to a much more usable perspective.

Can’t the textures just get AI upscaled? I was doing image upgrades and it does work perfectly. Shouldn’t have been much of a challenge also making some fixes via Photoshop
we need bigger map for the city content, and too bad we can't add new models to game, like sideswipe from tf3 and sideways from tf2 or mixmaster or warpath from tf3

Micheal Bay should have used this design for DOTM Shockwave so we would forgive him for his horrible design choices and writing.
The shockwave helicopter mode issue was solved in the shattered glass mod, and for some reason they found it interesting to make it blue lol
Some backstory the reason why Shockwave was fixed in Ray’s Shattered Glass is because he is switched with Blackout’s char data
