I also went on an Erasmus and my tip would be - just be open to what is coming to you! It will be just great! I hope lots of people will take the opportunity to go abroad. I was in Lithuania and it was amazing. Your university also helps a lot for organizing everything! I was in Lithuania. If anyone has some questions - feel free to ask me :D By the way - great video!
Great video Emily! I'm going to use it in class to motivate my French students to go and study abroad. And I'm sure they'll appreciate your lovely British accent ;-)
Wow, I'm so glad you like it enough to share with your class. My erasmus year was one of the best years of my life so far, I really hope that some of your students decide to do an experience abroad too :)
Ermy Ian Sorry I didn’t see these omg! Yes, I have already lived in Spain and it was amazing! I used Sendmybag and the facebook pages for my region and also if you’re in Barcelona or Madrid Lingobongo.com is brilliant for finding places to live, language exchange, private classes, anything really!!
Sudoba Azimshoeva It’s going to be amazing! Which part of Spain are you thinking of going to?? I went to Galicia and i’ve lived in Madrid for a month too! Dm me on instagram: @justlikemegs for more help!
Thanks Megan I would love to! But I haven't decided yet about the exact place in Spain. I will follow you ON ig. And I would be grateful if u will help to find some answers
Hi Kim! I was interning for both parts of my erasmus, but I didn't pick up any "side gigs" or part time work. I have a friend who tutored English privately when she was in Italy, and if you're from an EU country (which I guess you are if you're on the erasmus program) who are allowed to find part-time contracts. If you're on another type of study abroad program and have had to get a visa to come to the country, your ability to work contracted work might be impacted. Also consider what the job situation in the city is like - is it hard for locals to find jobs? If so, you might find it tough, unless it's a job where your specific skills or even nationality/language play in your favour. :)
Hi Christina, the Erasmus programme is just for Europe, but I think there are other study abroad opportunities to/from the USA. You'd have to ask your university about that. Here is the link to the erasmus plus about page anyway :) : ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/about_en
Hi Christina, I'm from Belgium and I studied abroad in the USA last semester. It was through my College and I only had 1 option. You should check with your College/University what options they have for students to go to the USA cause they need to have a partnership with the school in order for you to be able to study there or otherwise it would be really hard. My experience there was awesome, if you have the chance to do it, definitly do!! I'm not sure if you can send a private message on RUclips but if you need more info I'm happy to help!
+Rachel Amanda Erasmus is the name of a program organised by the EU that lets students from European countries do a semester or year studying, or even working, in other European countries :)
+Heidi Hi Hi Heidi! I'm trying to remember what music I used, for some reason it seems to have disappeared from my computer. I'll let you know when I find out, but I'm almost certain that it was from the RUclips audio library :)
+lola puta Salut!

Hi Emily, were you able to work part-time in the different countries during your erasmus program?
