Definitely a fan of this Matt! There’s so many cool rides from the 717 that get piloted by some real good folks that most don’t get to meet. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this mini series!
Im blessed to be from the 717 area. Seeing all the nice trucks motivates me to be like them when i get my own truck! But for now ill keep driving the company 389 and keeping her clean the best i can! Love the videos!
Wow, now I see why you were excited about this venture. Very good video. So you already know from this experience how much time you will likely need to put into this project. I found the young man to be fascinating. He obviously has a strong work ethic, likely from his Amish upbringing. I don't mean to be nosey but he must no longer be a member of the Amish community. Does he have contact with his family. I've heard stories in my area that when someone leaves the community they are literally shunned. I am now looking forward to your next video in this series!
Thanks for the feedback Ken ! I can’t speak for John but a lot of the Amish around here are not quite as conservative as some areas , most would still have a connection with their families if they leave the church , but it does happen sometimes that the family shuns them for life , that’s one question I did forget to ask him 😁
Very nice truck and that fellow seems like a really good decent person as well. I was also wondering what type power does the mule operate on? Nice video Sir, thanks
I did a replica based on Johns Truck in 1/64:scale . Mine is a KW W9L just looking for a mule for it . Wish I can post a picture here but it won't let me
Sent my pict . Enjoy it as I enjoy all your videos. I also get to Lancaster on business and to tour around alot. My best place to go for trucks and Amish and Mennonite.
That's an old California hay hauler... probably bought it because of California's strict emission laws... many Californian truckers have been forced in selling their truck ... glad it found a good second home
if these two guys were amish the question is how did they get out did they get thrown out or did they escape you would have to live in the dutch country all your life to understand
That is so cool! The rig is painted so well, all you want to do is show it off... Thank you for the friendly visit. C J
