i fitted a rear main seal on a manual, didn't realise i nicked the seal until i started then engine and saw oil seeping out. i've done hundreds but this one caused issues haha i enjoyed the job and love a good clutch\gearbox change
These are PTFE seals, not the older style that requires prelube. If you prelube these they will leak. Crank must be spotless and bone dry with absolutely no oil residue.

Should I drain the oil from the engine before seal remove or it's not necessary?
I have replaced this seal 3 times now and cannot get it to stop leaking. The part no is 1826504
