    You are lucky that the chinese carb worked. I had a Stihl FS-90r given to me last year that the guy gave up on. He had taken it to a local repair shop (not Stihl authorized) and they changed the clutch and carb. They didn't put the one part back in for the clutch and put a chinese carb on it. I ordered the parts for the clutch and also the parts to adjust the valves. The clutch was locked up. Got the clutch working properly and they had the valves completely tightened down with no play, so got the valves set properly. The carb wouldn't adjust properly. The engine would either wind out to full speed when it was supposed to be idling or it would just shut off constantly if not holding the throttle. I have it to the local Stihl dealer now getting a proper Stihl carb installed. My FS-90r camme with the blades on it and not the trimmer line. It was the brush cutter setup. Yes, it is a lot cheaper for the chinese carbs, but most of the time, you are better off using the real Stihl carb and paying the more money.

    If you're trying to figure out to get the carburetor off it's an 8 mm socket but it needs to be a very thin wall socket to fit in the pocket.

    How the hell did you get the 2 carb bolts in the air filter housing off? Its like all mine are to thick .

    The slack in that starter rope is super easy to tighten up. May want to adjust the valves also.

    The Chinese stuff is very hit or miss IMO. Uncle ordered a chinese carb for a Husqvarna chainsaw, all was good. I ordered one for a Husky trimmer and it leaked gas off the bat and couldn't be stopped.

    • @DulinCutAndTrim
      @DulinCutAndTrim  5 лет назад

      You're def right about that. I've been burned by chinese carbs but they are 75% cheaper than oem so its worth the risk to me

    • @mattk970
      @mattk970 5 лет назад

      @@DulinCutAndTrim Oh I totally agree on the price. In fact the price is so much cheaper that on some cheaper trimmers it makes them repairable where other wise it wouldn't be worth the price. I have had a FS90R for a couple years now and so far it has been great.

    • @Hugeroost

      mostly garbage buy the OEM stuff they are not that expensive

      @Ratz_vr-1 4 года назад

      Yes the Chinese sthil carb 2 out of 3 are junk . The ones that I have ordered that work have never made it past 2 seasons. Yeah they r cheaper is a plus but if I get one I order 3 at a time. Bc I have had them come new and not work at all. I've worked on weedeaters all my life .But I do understand why people go the cheaper route also.

    You were soooooo close! Adjust the valves and you are good to go brother. The screw on the carb closest to the engine is the low speed fuel adjustment. The farthest screw on the carb from the engine is the Hi speed fuel adjustment. Looks like the pull rope needs attention soon too. Thanks for taking the time to make the video. Check out my channel.
