It’s a basic Fischer-Spassky version with silly smiling knights. Nothing beats the Plastigal set from land of Miguel Najdorf Argentina - in old jaques style and wood tone light pieces. 3.85” K and I’m a chess freak who owns dozens sets.

They're nice pieces. I prefer them over wooden ones, more durable and better weighted. DGT needn't have been so stingy, they could have supplied two queens for each color.

Yes good durable pieces for a starter set, we are playing games everyday!
