Aw man, a great suggestion!!! This is such an underrated song, always been a fave from R&H!! For those who love to hear Bono really belt it, this is a great one. Also featuring those great tumbling drums that Larry does so well. :)
This song is sexy. It builds and grows before it climaxes with that scream and then slowly gives you a slow descelleration and the catharsis you need. It's so underrated.
U2 have a back catalog that is unmatched by any other band which is why they have more Grammy awards than any other band in history, everyone knows their famous songs but its the less famous ones that were not released as singles that caught my attention and showed me how incredibly talented they are both in the studio and live in an arena or stadium.
This was my dad’s favorite U2 song.I introduced him to the band in the early 80’s.He loved the heavy drums and the lyrics.Sadly he passed away in November of 2020 at the age of 76.I’ll always remember my dad when I hear this song.
❤❤❤❤ I'm a HUGE U2 fan Have been so since I saw Rattle and Hum in the cinema I fell in love when I saw Streets live and have been in love ever since This is indeed a great one LOVE HOW MUCH U2 you folks do My lame city of St Louis NEVER NEVER NEV V V V V ER plays U2 on the radio It's shameful THANK YOU LOVE YOU FOLKS
Congratulations for this choice, this gem is simply ignored, a prog music journey, I have never heard it live. Another unnoticed song, but live on the Vertigo tour, was LOVE AND PEACE OR ELSE, fantastic on DVD Chicago 2005. The blues rock KITE and the musically catchy MIRACLE DRUG have committed lyrics and are further gems a bit away from the mainstream. Keep going and have fun👍✌.
Wasn't 269 takes but U2 do take a long time to work on stuff. U2, Bob Dylan, Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois what a combo!!! Check out "Love Rescue Me" on the same album, Bob Dylan co wrote it.
I love watching this reaction for the first couple minutes, just waiting for the moment they hear Bono hitting those last lines. And I wasn’t wrong. Rattle and Hum is a bit of a mess, but its shining moments are so damn good. God Part II, All I Want is You, Heartland, Love rescue Me, Silver and Gold are all outstanding.
Great pick this didn't make the Joshua Tree album, pretty much just shows you how great this band is. Also s fav is Bono with Keith Richards and Ron Woods Silver and Gold ❤
30+ years ago I called up my girlfriend. She wasn't home and it went to her answering machine. Left my message, hung up and turned up this song loud. Except I didn't hang up the phone correctly, and her answer machine recorded me cranking this song loud. Some accidents work out and I was well rewarded that evening! ❤❤❤
Thanks for reviewing doing hawkmoon. Great song. They have so many great deep cuts and b-sides. If you want to stick with rattle and hum, check out God Part 2. It's a response to John lenon's God part 1. And some say it's the unofficial first song of the auchtung baby era.
Esperando vocês ainda fazerem a reação a canção, Bad, no Live Aid em 1985! E quanto a essa versão, o Bono estava no auge de sua voz, os anos 80 definitivamente foi do U2! Ese album é incrivel, outra grande canção desse album é: All I Want Is You!
Thanks for that tidbit. The story I heard, and I mentioned in the reaction request, was that it took the band 269 takes to get it right. Either way, this is such a really cool song and one of my all-time favorites.
This song came out when I was in 8th grade, and I went years thinking that the backup singers were singing "Meet all your love in the Harlot" (kind of a biblical vibe). I liked the song better when i thought that. Still a great song.
One of the reasons why this is less known is because that it took 269 takes to record, by the time they were finished, they were actually sick of the song. They've only played it live a handful of times.
this was when the band was firing on all cylinders. amazing song.

Bob Dylan plays the Hammond organ on this. Unbelievable song!
So cool. I didn't know that.

One of my all time favorite U2 songs!!!! Thank you, wonderful people
Some great album tunes on rattle and hum . This being one of them , there’s also god part 2 and heartland is one of U2’s best ever songs
Thanks for this, guys. Maybe the most intense Bono has ever been in a studio performance. What a song! I haven't heard it in years.
I agree, one of my favourite U2 songs ❤❤❤
I love Hawkmoon ❤️

U2 at their best were fooking amazing.
Absolute beauty! Along with God part 2 and All I want...269 ranks as my equal No.1 track from R and H. So powerful.
Great pick this didn't make the Joshua Tree album, pretty much just shows you how great this band is. Also s fav is Bono with Keith Richards and Ron Woods Silver and Gold ❤

Rattle & Hum is a great album. The vibe of the entire album is something special.
A great album.
Man! Talk about a deep cut.
Seriously checkout out "When Love comes to Town" of the same album with B.B. King....UNREAL! Great reaction as usual
I hope someone will ask you to react to God part II from the same album.
Great reaction
If you liked that youll love their version of Unchained Melody
Awseome

U2 Roots of american music❤
Actually the name comes from a Highway sign indicating how many miles to a town called Hawkmoon
Thanks for that tidbit. The story I heard, and I mentioned in the reaction request, was that it took the band 269 takes to get it right. Either way, this is such a really cool song and one of my all-time favorites.
Believe you are correct joey that is what i read somewhere many moons ago too
@@thomasrichards1969269 mixes
Fun Fact: Bob Dylan played the Hammond organ on this track, great song! This is also the 269th mix of the song, not take
This song came out when I was in 8th grade, and I went years thinking that the backup singers were singing "Meet all your love in the Harlot" (kind of a biblical vibe). I liked the song better when i thought that. Still a great song.
You should check out the film, I have a feeling you'd like it 🫶🏼

I need your love
react to "Angel of Harlem" and "Heartland" from the same album
It's been 30 years since I last heard it again. Thank you so much. You brought back memories I almost forgot.
Beautiful beautiful lady
