I've been in it for 10 years. There's no scripting, no preplanning and talent alone is never enough. If you don't have either sheer willpower or a good deal of narcissism, you'll never last more than a few weeks at best. In the entertainment industry, only perfect is good enough.

Pretty sure they were judged her in her age and lack of life and possible singing experience,not her looks/apperance. Keep in mind these judges hear 50 bad singers in a row and then this gem comes along… amazingly talented gifted singer who sings so effortlessly.

Screw these judges, they're the absolute worst. She has so much talent and they judged so quickly based on looks (extra stupid since she looks perfectly normal to me). This girl has an amazing voice, I've listened to this a thousand times by now and love it more than the original.
In all her simplicity, she slamdunk, with her beautiful voice, gorgeous brunette, a true artist, just show up right in front of us all. She reminds me of Aretha Franklin in her young age.

What the hell is wrong with people. This is another Susan Boyle incident. The way the audience and judges are reacting to Shiane, they wrote her off before she could even got started. I will never understand how people judge one another by the cover of the book. Shiane sings very well especially for a 14 year old. I wish her all the luck in the world... and as Susan Boyle once said... "I'm gonna make that audience rock" so, Shiane whenever you perform, "MAKE THAT AUDIENCE ROCK"! Godspeed, my friend.

Screw these judges, they're the absolute worst. She has so much talent and they judged so quickly based on looks (extra stupid since she looks perfectly normal to me). This girl has an amazing voice, I've listened to this a thousand times by now and love it more than the original.

This is my favorite video from x factor...the pride her mother and friend must have felt...awsome...what's wrong with being shy?...people who are shy are more interesting than someone with a big mouth. Shiane made them put their foot in it which was so great!!..she wasn't all that shy from the beginning anyway..just real and down to earth..its better to be who you are than what other people want you to be..grow in your own way not someone elses...this video is gold because its heart warming...Way to go shiane.
