This kid looks like something many people wouldn't wipe off the bottom of their shoe, then he shows this phenomenal talent and showmanship along with a very loveable personality. I love the "losers" like Paul Potts, Jonathon & Charlotte, etc.. who make it big!

it sickens me when people laugh at other Culture's like this audience did. bad enough when he came out and the snickering started. but then when he mentioned his nonno and his nonna they started laughing like idiots. people need to grow the heck up. and treat others with more respect. not everyone refers to family in the same way. and FYI he was brilliant.

When i said Culture, I was only refering to where you might come from not the size of a family. I had a great friend that's Italian. I learned a few phrazes and some words. I went with him to visit his Grandmother. So i got to learn what he called them. But regardless. You should treat someone even if you don't know them, with the same Respect. with which you'd want them to treat you.
It just shows his charisma and talent. In Australia they don't give a thumbs up to just anyone, it has to be earned. It makes us all work harder to develop a stronger talent rather than a mediocre talent. This is why there are so many Australian actors in Hollywood.
In my opinion there is no shortage of talent from Australia. Some of my favorite Actors come from Australia. so i agree 100%.

Will never forget the first time I heard, and saw this ... all of the "losers" with the smirky smiles on their faces. Kind of reminds me of the "loser" at Susan Boyle's first audition. When she said that she wanted to be like Elaine Paige, they show this "loser" with a smirk on her face. Even when the crowd stood up and applauded and was going crazy over SB's voice, the camera showed her still sitting there with her arms in her lap. God love her ....

actually this is my favorite ever auditions to watch, he is so cool, humble & confident, I knew from the start that he is something special...people judge him for the way he looks but he seems didn't mind them, he just did what he have to do..I don't understand one of the judges sign thumbs down instead of thumbs up.
How come there are so many talented singers in Liverpool? Love his voice and the way he sings
