Its good, but it does tend to look like its flashing every time it switches between subtitles bringing more attention to it.

Yeah this ep might be more hints to me thinking that Roy family has a connection to the sun, liko family has a connection to the moon, amethio family has a connection to the stars, they could even expand that with friede family having a connection to the sky, dots family having a connection to the earth since her family Pokémon seems to be rockruff and totally see her getting 1 as well and Anne family could have a connection to the ocean because they really seem like she is going to become a main cast member soon.
You know, is it me or is roy's grandpa looks really similar to ash if he grown old?, especially both of them live in kanto
The part where Roy and Fuecoco sang a new song of their own while battling is definitely one of my favorite moments in episode 62. 💙🎶🔥
Such a banger song!! I loved how Fuecoco's movements matched the song in such an unpredictable & fast-paced way 😁
I also loved the brief scenes of Quaxwell and Floragato dancing together and Torapegos vibing
I hope Roy's Fuecoco evolves into Crocalor before Liko's Floragato fully evolves into Meowscarada. Then the starters would have matching evolution stages.
Luckily, there has been a leaked Magazine showing Floragato, Quaxwell, and Crocalor in the anime artstyle with the protags on the front page. So, at some point soon, the evolution will happen.

I found this scene to be really cute! I didn't include it in my review because the review was already ending up super long, and it didn't seem as plot-important as the other parts of the episode 😅 but it was awesome haha

This episode was genuinely good with much needed backstory for Roy, because, while Roy has more battle focus, he was severely lacking in background department compare to Liko, Dot and Friede.
Battle was also pretty good. I like, how Roy and Fuecoco created new song to fight Toxtricity and cheering the crowd.
The wad only 2 downsides for me:
1) I wish, that Fuecoco evolved here. According to recent merch it will evolve, but I wished he evolved here.
2) According to the rules this test supposed to be a 2v2 fight, yet Ryme got Roy passed with just 1v1.
I hate, how they treated second mons here. While Tinkatink at least hold pretty decently, Kilowattrel was completely washed without any chance to redeem itself in rematch.
Hopefully, Hattrem will put a decent fight
I know. Hopefully they hear are complaints and do better next series.
The reason that the rematch is one on one because Roy has battle houndstone in his last match with kilowattral but after it was defeated, his partner pokemon took it down and did a poor performance against Toxricity
The rematch is only focus on the two pokemon that battle in the last round
@@ianhardy9375 The point of the test is to know how to use two Pokemon properly in a battle. He clearly has fail on that so by definition he should fail.
@@KgEclispe252 well yes but houndstone and kilowattral were already use and defeated, it's Toxricity that Roy and Fuacoco that they perform so poorly that none of it's move were getting through and with the added effect of Toxricity's ability render disarming voice useless along with it's poison type preference puts Roy and Fuacoco at a disadvantage that they couldn't make use of their tactics with flamethrower, stomping tantrum and flame charge were neutralize by overdrive and boomburst and terristialize at a improper time and out of desperation while the gym leader did not and defeated Roy. So, in terms of the rematch, Rhythm requested a one on one to see if Roy and Fuacoco can defeat Toxricity which they perform much better than the last time which led to using the phenomenon at the right moment and triumph so this rematch shows that certain situations can have some exception but this was done to give Roy background story which enable him to focus while changing tactics and the 1v1 was necessary to focus on Toxricity and Fuacoco where both sides terristialize at the right moment
The episode was engaging and amusing. Roy's backstory was nicely executed in context to the ongoing theme. I loved everything this episode gave. The battle was well executed. The song Roy was singing alongside his parents hit me differently, it made me emotional. So far, I'll call this the best batch of episodes we've ever had with Roy. His character got nicely developed, and is making him likeable for me.
The best part of the episode was the hyper Training. I loved to see their interactions during that scene, especially when Dot and Floragato were warming themselves inside the igloo, and Quaxwell was getting mad at her.
Kudos to Roy for being the only one to beat some Gym leaders right now
I can't believe he's beat two of the Gym Leaders now! So happy for him, he's an awesome battler 😁🔥

To be honest, he is the only one who has much interest in battling out of them anyway. Would be weird if Liko and Dot can surpass him in battle despite their lack of interest
Wait hold on a minute this might be a reference to how beating all the gym leaders in sv is just one of three pathways for beating the game
Perhaps liko and dot might be simply using the experience battling for strength training rather than a legit battle

When Fuecoco hit Toxtricity with that Stomping Tantrum, I didn't think Roy needed to Terastallize in order to beat Ryme, they were pretty much in complete control the whole battle.
It genuinely feels like the first battle in FOREVER that the protagonist was completely in control and dominating the entire time! Roy deserves it! 😎
Part of the Terastal Test is that the challenger MUST Terastalize their pokemon during the battle. I think the Gym Leader also needs to Terastalize if the challenger does as well.

@@utlukka950 Actually, the Gym Leader is not required to Terastallize if they don't feel like it. We learned this from Katy when she said that she could have ended the battle after seeing Floragato's successful Terastallization. But of course, most Gym Leaders prefer to see the battle to its proper conclusion.
They better have Kilowattrel learn new moves and get stronger to win more battles in the future soon, poor bird was inexperienced and done dirty despite evolving. Fuecoco evolving is inevitable.
Liko tells Floragato to remain confident and to give their best in the preview, that shows her development. Many were complaining after her crying scene in episode 56, but let's look at the result, she's come out strong. I am hyped for the next episode, let's see how she melts Grusha's icy heart. The battle seems well animated from the preview.

I know Liko has a lot of potential and she is certainly talented and intelligent. I just wish the writers won't have to resort to cheap plot armor in order to help her win. She couldn't beat Katy, the weakest Gym Leader, and now she has to battle Grusha, the strongest one? Let's hope their battle will be like Ash versus Lt. Surge and nothing like Ash versus Wattson/Tate and Liza/Tucker/almost every Unovan Gym Leader/Bea/Drasna, shall we?
Until now, the writers didn't use any plot armor, but on the other side, if she loose now she would have one zero fight in this arc, wich could be frustating, so i hope she wins but the writers make her win in a way that feel Logic and earned and not cheap@@miikaroos3809

I'm a bit sad that they shoehorned in Roy's training WITH his re-match. I would have loved to have an entire episode, (if not two), dedicated to Roy finding out why he sings, as well as training Fuecoco, (and Kilowattrel). That way, when the rematch episode came about, both of Roy's Pokemon could have been redeemed.
For as much as Horizons has been taking it's time with things, they also often seem to rush, (this instance being the prime example).
Roy is the most main protagonist

Loved this one, the training was really good, love the backstory we see from Roy, made me want to tear up a bit with how lovely it is. The bond he has with Fuecoco and the singing beat they have battling the gym. The battle it self was fun and had good strategy.
Just after watching your video and mentioning the song "5678 by Step", it does sound familiar and recalling hearing this song when I used to play claw machines here in Hong Kong when I was little.😮😅
5678 is the kind of song that used to be played all the time in public places in the early 2000’s! Like, at BBQ’s, or parties, or arcades, or on vacation! So it’s very possible that it could be the same song! 😁 that’s awesome haha 🎶
Roy's design is already "lill squishy baby" (idk how to describe it lol) but younger Roy's design is even cuter aww lol.
Glad that Roy passed this time, 3 ep for him are astounding tbh, can't wait to see Liko's first win no matter how strong Grusha is

This was a quick turn around as it felt like it needed an extra episode to cook. Moreso I can't understand why Roy and Fuecoco went through so much and STILL not evolve which is baffling to me. I don't know but I really feel like the writing are doing this pair dirty.

This rematch episode is good
Roy’s parents are busy at work by constantly traveling around the world of Pokémon and its places
Good thing, the shining ways of Roy and his singing regarding the origin AKA his past really comes in handy
Honestly I really love this episode, the training montage was great, the flashback was really wholesome and sad, and the battle was really awesome!!
Literally the only flaw I can point out is, like you mentioned, that Kilowatrell didn't get to redeem itself from its loss last episode.
9/10 for me, I love Roy's development here, it was about time!
Yeah, he didn't even get to participate in the special training. The original battle was a 2v2, so that's what we were all probably expecting. But no, let Kilowatrell go down right away and Fuecoco can do all the work.

God, this episode was really good. And that flashback of Roy and his family was crazy emotional, I definitely cried 😭 the training was fun and the victory was very well deserved! I'm so happy for Roy and Fuecoco!!
I'm very curious too if Fuecoco will remain super speedy and agile when he evolves, but I guess time will tell.
But for now, this episode is a 9/10 for me!
I'm still upset about Kilo not battling in the rematch. It's like they pretend he doesn't exist at all.

How does Roy expect to beat the black Raquaza with just one Pokemon that's like if Ash went to the Pokemon League with just using Pikachu. Perhaps Kilo wasn't gonna fight in the rematch from the start but not even make him train at all with Fuecoco that's just insulting. I'm convinced that the writers hate Kilo
I just got to hear the song that you recommended and my gosh you were right!! This song is good! It even made me feel nostalgic! As someone who was born in the 90’s, hearing 5 6 7 8 for the first time really brings me back those fun childhood memories, back when life was simple yet so good! And hearing its style of music really makes me wish we had that style of music again during these times! 🥺

The only thing that would have made this episode even more peak would be for Fuecoco to evolve - but that may have been too predictable. But one thing for sure, it's about time for our favorite little flamethrower to grow even stronger! Can't wait for it happen. 🔥🥥

I've just seen this new episode before I see this video, and this new episode so good, have a backstory, a great training, a fire battle and some thing about next episode, man I love it so much, Roy is the person who is the most powerful in Liko's team, fuecoco isn't evolve but still the greatest pokemon in group (in my opinion)

Ash and Roy were both defeated in gym leader matches in snow area, they are both shocked, so that Serena and Liko supported them respectively. But Ash was more depressed than Roy, and he ended up getting hit by snowballs from Serena, like you have mentioned. Roy, on the other hand, washed his face with snow instead to overcome his lost. And they both have a victory in their rematches. Maybe I have gone crazy for this plot: Serena has kissed Ash at the end of the XYZ, so I could think Liko would do the same to Roy :), I am totally crazy maybe, don't blame me for this :((

@@Wykeith ash pikachu had at least 8 region of training,was strong from the begining and went in gym order.
Fuecoco on the other hand started weak and with barelly any major fight is already at the level of a sixth gym leader.
This is giving me vibes of when iono defeated poppy.

Well, to be fair, Fuecoco managed to dodge almost every attack and he landed a buttload of attacks himself. The battle would have ended very differently if Roy and Fuecoco hadn't been in such perfect synch.

No Kilowattrel is kind of an episode killer for me. Not having the two on two and having Kilowattrel being ignored so easily makes it seem like Roy really doesnt know how to battle with more than one pokemon.
Like how does he expect to beat Rayquaza with just one Pokemon? A trainer needs to rely on a team in order to win
Then he needs to learn and learn ASAP
Could Fuecoco be waiting until a certain moment to evolve, just like how Ash's Torracat refused to evolve until it defeated Kukui's Incineroar?

I'm glad Roy won the rematch, because he definitely deserved it. He was in perfect synch with Fuecoco, it was beautiful.
HOWEVER! Am I the only one who noticed that Toxtricity's moves seemed to be significantly weaker than in the previous episode? Especially Overdrive was totally nerfed. It used to have a huge AOE, it was impossible to dodge and it was strong enough to block everything it hit. Now? It looked outright pitiful and Fuecoco could dodge it easily. It's sad when these things happen because it means the writers can't think of better ways to help the underdog win. This was nowhere near as bad as some of Ash's most infamous battles, but still. It reminded me of Roy's battle against Brassius where Sudowoodo used Substitute a hundred times without losing any health and still lost. At least in this episode, the nonsense worked in Roy's favor.
Next up, Liko versus Paldea's strongest Gym Leader. I wish her luck, because she will need it. Liko is talented and clever, but after losing to Katy only a short while ago, beating Grusha is certainly a tall order. Let's hope the writers will pull through, like they mostly have done in Horizons. If Liko manages to win, I want it to make more sense than, for example, Thunder Armor or Mega Lucario taking zero damage from Gigantamax Machamp's super-effective STAB move. Those were dark times.

OK, I have to say this I really am getting ash ketchum vibes from Roy.
This episode totally gets an 8.5 out of the 10. The only nitpick I can say right now is although I am always going to be impressed with Roy's ability as a Pokémon trainer to use a Pokémon without evolving I'll be very disappointed if his starter or ace doesn't evolve throughout the rest of the series [most likely it would evolve in the future]. The feeling I get when I train my Pokémon hard putting my heart and soul into them and watching them evolve make me feel accomplished. I want or I wish for Pokémon Horizons to give us that same relatable feeling with the Pokémon Used by the main cast.

Nemona is more effective here, cuz she trains someone who needs the training, the player, who might be too old for Pokémon for these games in terms of challenge, doesn't need it that much.
So Nemona is the perfect rival and mentor to Roy, hope he gets the Victory Road arc in the future.
I really enjoyed the episode and was glad Roy got a good win to bounce back!

- He used Rhythmic Strategy and Tactics to avoid attacks then counterattack
- Fuecoco-hogator won against Terastialized Toxtricity while Terastialized at the end

You know what kid when I was your age I used to get over confident all the time I would get so fired up and so excited I would usually run into a brick wall but sometimes you need to take two steps back and do some special training believe me it hasn't been easy the rivals the gym battles I mean me and my Pokemon don't like to lose you win some you lose some the most important thing is to learn from your mistakes and never give up no matter what and it's not just your Pokemon that needs to get stronger it's the trainer as well you are a team you are a team the one in the same body mind and spirit you have to be one with your Pokemon if you get nervous then your Pokemon will sense it and then you will lose focus and lose the battle if it wasn't to all my friends I wouldn't be who I am today I would not be the champion of alola and the world champion there was a moment in my journey where I just wanted to give up and go home but it was thanks to a certain special someone in a few volumes of snowballs to the face that brought me back into reality..
