- September 2022 I found myself gearing up for another fall of elk hunting. This is a hunt I look forward to more than anything. Chasing bulls in the mountains right outside of home. I spent a lot of time picking through bulls and playing the game waiting for a big bull to slip up. Finally after a few weeks of hard hunting I was able to connect on this awesome bull, which I later named, Iron Man, because of how hardy these animals are.

Awesome bull Martin! I killed my biggest with a bow this season 331” and had my whole family standing behind me 3 kids and girlfriend!!! Stuck the bull at 25 yards he ran 30 and tipped over!!!

@@Martin_Chag I remember asking you on another video, might’ve been your full bow build from this summer, how you liked it. You said it was a little louder than other bows you’ve had. If this is the first 80 pound draw weight bow you’ve had that might be a factor. Take care, congratulations once again. Your videos are among the best solo-filmed hunting videos I’ve come to know. I'm just finding this video, and just finished watching the bears. I gotta pause it to comment, it's a bad habit, and I apologize. Wow! What an incredible thing to experience, and you captured it on video, amazingly well! I can't help but wonder, what was your pucker factor? I mean, a mama bear with cubs, that's about as dangerous as it can get, if it goes wrong! My instinct would've been to sit tight, but I'm prepared to get really loud, really quick, if I need to scare them off. But then what? I guess at least you're in a tree lol. Back to the video. I'm loving it so far!
haha it wasn't too bad. I could tell by their body language there was no threat unless I was going to get at ground level
When you thought your hunt was over. I love the raw emotion. congrats for sticking to your plan! I mentally broke this year after I called a bull into 50. I thought I moved my sight to 50 but it was on 40. shooting a 585 grain arrow I missed low. clean miss but, mentally I broke. I'm so disappointed in myself for quitting. I plan on getting in shape so this doesn't happen again! Thank you for sharing your hunt with us!

dude your the man!! great hunt ! elk hunting is a bucket list dream but finally im ready to go to colorado for an otc elk hunt in late sept. ive spent hours,days and months on onx looking for the best place for me to hunt but without boots on the ground i still dont have a clue where to start. you know your stuff and need some help. not askiing for your hot spots just need to know some good units to start my journey. any help would be appriecated. either way great video
