RoseCraft has some awesome designs. Really enjoy their products, but also really enjoy their Facebook group and all of the interaction. Such a great group of folks. Andy and Swaggs really have a lot of fun with their joint venture and it shows. Thank you so much for this video and review, JB!
I'm looking forward to getting my Zambezi in my hands. It's different in a good way, and since I always carry three or more knives on me at a time I will not be caught short or "underbladed" when the Zambezi is part of my EDC. Thanks JB!
RCB has a winning formula with that forward choil. Its convenience is beyond description. The grey bone handles look great! Thank you for the review on this one, JB.
It's an excellent design. I love Rosecraft's generous forward finger choils. For my purposes they actually make the knife easier to use and more versatile, despite reducing the cutting edge.
Always love watching your videos and especially videos on slipjoints. I wasn't too sure about Rosecraft until I bought the Clinch River Swayback. Man was it was very impressive. Even with the shorter cutting edge on this one I still see a lot of uses for it. Take care.
The color is great and the design is more stylish than the Clinch River (which is pretty good looking itself). I think they should’ve put the nail nick/groove symmetrically on the other side. Really great looking knife!
Andy's designs when he worked for Rough Ryder were awesome. And now his Rosecrafts are even better. Looking at the new blades that are going to be released are blowing my mind. Loving the bone covers on his knives. I'm saving my pennys for all of them. Guess im going to have to get 1 or 2 of each. Thanks for the review!
Worlds of Fun (a theme park in Kansas City, MO) used to have a roller coaster named, “Zambezi Zinger”. That was my first real roller coaster, thus one of my favorites. This Zambezi brings back some great memories. Thanks, J.B. It’s a sweet little folder. I dig the unique blade shape too. Very nice.
Such a cool design I just had to have one in the collection, Carried mine today, the bone in sunlight is really nice. It’d be amazing if they could find a way to make them here in the States.
I really like RCB’s traditionals, in my best Cousin Eddie voice “ They’re really nice”. Andy has come up with some great designs and a lot of them. Look forward to seeing something along a bow trapper pattern, one of my favorites from ……the….. ahhh….. other place. Thanks for the look. 👍
I like this one a lot. I could see it possibly being very handy as a gutting blade for hunting. Thanks for the info on the name too, makes the pattern even cooler now that I know what it means! 😆 Cheers, buddy!
This is a cool looking knife. I love a forward finger choil but i wish the cutting edge was just a bit longer. Probably going to have to pick on up at some point.
It kinda reminds me of another rosecraft and I know it's not the same kind of knife but it reminds me of the pocket monster which is a knife I really enjoy using so there's no doubt that I would like this knife it does look cool great video man 👍
Hey, thanks to you I have a Clinch River, JB! 😁Cool to see it compared to the Zambezi! The Zambezi is a baby of a knife, but it seems great for simple tasks around the house! Cool stuff, JB! 👍
I just picked one of these up while cruising white mountain knives…something about it was just *super* intriguing to me. It’s got this interesting, dead even split between a traditional and modern folder. We’ll see what’s doin when it rolls in. It’d be nice to have a trad maker that I like other than GEC whose knives are essentially impossible to get for a reasonable price. The nice thing about this is that it’s 2.5” so it’ll make a funny little alternative to my usual dragonflies, lil natives, odiums, etc. when I need something of that size for legal city carry.
@BigRedEDC I just found you. I appreciate you reviewing old school knives. I have collected Barlows and folding hunters for decades. Just getting back in after a long bad spell.
For consistent stronger pull, I would have to say Jack Wolf Knives. Of course, those are more modern and more expensive slip joints. RoseCraft does good on the budget side but a 7 is pretty rare. 6 is fairly consistent. The Ohio River Jack from traditionalpocketknives.com has a pretty solid 6-7 pull and are in the 100-150 range.
@@BigRedEDC Hey, Thankyou for Your reply, Im in the UK where We can only carry a 3” slipjoint but they all seem to have pussy weak backsprings, I want something that You can just about close with two hands lol, Im currently carrying a Byrd Tern that I have tightened the pivot torx up as much as it would go and that is pretty adequate , Perhaps I’ll just have to commision a custom piece from somewhere…🙂
It was looking like a strange canoe until the blade came out. Personally, I would rather have a choil in the bolster with very little using the actual blade portion. In other words, I like the way they did the swayback choil better than this one. It's a Great looking knife, though.
Check out the Zambezi at TPK: www.traditionalpocketknives.com?sca_ref=2840664.Q9llFpfBEn
Love this freak! Thanks JB!
LOL....thanks Jake!
Beautiful knife JB , have a great day , thanks for sharing , God bless brother !
Have a wonderful day my friend!
I like how different this is. The extra large choil makes me think it’s a take on a Cotton Sampler. Thanks JB!
Yes indeed Matthew!
This one is definitely different... but I like it. Thanks for showing/sharing. Have a good one. 👍
I like how different it is.
Great traditional piece BigRed 👍 I totally 👀 the 🦈 shape. Cheers 🍻 Rosecraft on more 🔪 goodness 👏
Completely agree Marcos!
Wicked looking blade & the size is nice too. And You Are The Man, brother. Really awesome of you.
Thank you Shamus!
Andy has a winner here J.B.!
Would also love to see a larger version some day, I want one for sure ‼️
Awesome Tom!
A traditional version of the pocket monster! Very cool haha
Yeah it is kinda!!
That is EXACTLY the idea - a traditional looking pocket utility knife.
What a crazy knife that will definitely be a conversation piece in any collection. Thanks big red
Agreed brother!
That’s a really nice looking knife. Love the scales. Rosecraft has been hitting it out of the park. Thanks JB.
They sure have!
RoseCraft has some awesome designs. Really enjoy their products, but also really enjoy their Facebook group and all of the interaction. Such a great group of folks. Andy and Swaggs really have a lot of fun with their joint venture and it shows. Thank you so much for this video and review, JB!
They are great for sure! Love what RCB is doing and more to come
Great design, coolest looking knife I’ve seen in a while!
Right on Johnny!
Rosecraft has no fear in their designs. Very bold and very nice knife. Thanks JB!
Very, very true!!👍👍
Slipjoint are always beautiful. This one have nice name and shape.
Thank you Dane!
Those scales are great, nice work Rosecraft. Thanks for the share BigRed.
Thank you very much for watching!
Looks good, JB! At the very least, the choil prevents it closing on your fingers.
I think the forward choil is great for people that have that fear of slip joints!
Congrats Dave! You are a winner once again! Shoot me an email. bigrededc@gmail.com
I like this knife I wish it had more cutting edge Rosecraft has great QC thanks for sharing JB
Thank you for giving it a look Grim!
@@BigRedEDC You are always welcome JB

Thanks for taking a look my friend!
Really love the looks of this one.
I do as well Mike!
RCB has a winning formula with that forward choil. Its convenience is beyond description. The grey bone handles look great! Thank you for the review on this one, JB.
Thank you very much Shane
I agree on the shark look. It also reminds me of a cotton sampler a lot. Great looking knife.
Yes indeed Jon!
Rosecraft just keeps putting out winner after winner! All of mine are works of art! Looking forward to more from this great knife company. Thanks JB!
Agree 💯 Ken! Thanks so much
It's an excellent design. I love Rosecraft's generous forward finger choils. For my purposes they actually make the knife easier to use and more versatile, despite reducing the cutting edge.
I think that could also alleviates the fear some have about slipjoints. Thanks Grom
That's a nice looking shark! Good video JB👍
Thank you Chris!
Always love watching your videos and especially videos on slipjoints. I wasn't too sure about Rosecraft until I bought the Clinch River Swayback. Man was it was very impressive. Even with the shorter cutting edge on this one I still see a lot of uses for it. Take care.
Yeah I do too! I just dig the overall look!
Good quality affordable price defines Rosecraft
That has been my experience as well!
RoseCraft and Andy are doing some awesome new things. I can't wait that new Barlow in June.
I am looking forward to it as well!!

Right on Forrest!
That is a very cool knife! Definitely different and fresh!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Agreed Radar
It looks good and I like that finger choil !
I do as well!
Really love the blade shape on this. Combined with the more traditional handle makes it look very unique.
It does for sure Joe!!
That’s nice! I give Rosecraft a hard time. But I’ve always said I love their traditional pieces.
Thanks for checking it out Gary!
The color is great and the design is more stylish than the Clinch River (which is pretty good looking itself). I think they should’ve put the nail nick/groove symmetrically on the other side. Really great looking knife!

Thats what I like about it!
Beautiful knife I love that pattern!!!
I do too Mike!!
Good looking knife, really like the Cinch River.
I do as well Michael!!
I really should check out rosecraft blades myself but, I'm not sure if there'd be a problem shipping to the UK or not.
I mean....most, if not all are UK legal. Contact them and ask. Shipping cost is always going to be high!
It's a baby shark 🦈 😊
LOL.....thanks for checking it out!
I like this one a lot. I could see it possibly being very handy as a gutting blade for hunting. Thanks for the info on the name too, makes the pattern even cooler now that I know what it means! 😆 Cheers, buddy!
Definitely has a shark look to it to me! Thanks David!!
Love the Rose Craft knives. I have 4 so far
Awesome! They are good!
Another awesome one by Rosecraft!
I'm digging it for sure
This is a cool looking knife. I love a forward finger choil but i wish the cutting edge was just a bit longer. Probably going to have to pick on up at some point.
I cant understand that Tim! Still very good for utility type uses!
I really want a Zambezi. I've got a few RoseCraft Blades and this may very well be my next one
Awesome!!!
I really like the looks on this knife.
I do too Rusty!!💯💯

It does a bit David!
You've nailed it, David. It's made for the same purpose, but for people who love traditional looking knives. It's a pocket utility blade.
Hey, thanks to you I have a Clinch River, JB! 😁Cool to see it compared to the Zambezi!

Looks like a another winner for RCB. And for the price that is a bargain. Can’t wait for future drops by RCB especially the Barlow.
Oh yeah! They have more sweet models!
I loved the clinch river at bladeshow but still haven’t picked one up yet ❤
I really dig the Clinch River as well
I really like it , I hope they make one a little bigger 🤷🏼 great video awesome knife
Thanks for checking it out!
Love the new RCB designs!
Yes indeed!!
Thats unusual little knife. Intersting shape.
on the same lines as a cotton sampler!
That finger choil should ease the fear some may have with accidental closings.
I would think so!
Barlow!!!! I need this
Thanks for checking it out Jim!

Good Looking Knife
Thanks Eddie!
A beauty! If I win send it over to William at William's Knife Life ,as I'm International.
Right on Daniel!
Thats nice…👌🏻😍💯
May I ask which slipjoint knives You own have the stongest backspring, Like above a 7/10..?❔🤔❔🙂
For consistent stronger pull, I would have to say Jack Wolf Knives.

I really like the look of this but :( my pockets are a little empty for new knives.
Thanks for the video.

Fair enough William! Appreciate you taking a look!
Centering?
Perfect!
Looks kind of snubby but still cool
Thanks Cheato!!
Great covers but not useful enough for me, certainly a knife safe to have in public and not worry about freaking anyone out.
I would hope that is the case Lewis!
This one is not for me at all. Give it to Gary hahahaha
LOL....sure thing Matti!
