  • Nikon Coolpix P1000 (125x Camera)
    ----------------------------------------------------------
    Key Features:
Zoom Capability: An exceptional 125x optical zoom, equivalent to a 24-3000mm focal length. This allows you to capture extremely distant objects, such as the moon or wildlife, with stunning detail.
Sensor: Equipped with a 16 MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor, providing good image quality, especially for its zoom capabilities.
Stabilization: Advanced optical image stabilization minimizes camera shake during extreme zoom levels.
Video Recording: Can shoot 4K UHD video, making it versatile for both photography and videography.
Portability: Compact for a camera with such an extensive zoom range, but still bulkier and heavier than typical cameras (approx. 1.4 kg/3 lbs).
Ease of Use: Intuitive controls and features like a fully articulating LCD screen for versatile shooting angles.
Use Cases: Ideal for wildlife photography, astrophotography, landscapes, and casual stargazing.
    Pros:
Incredible zoom range for a camera.
Suitable for both photography and video.
Built-in digital processing for post-capture enhancement.
    Cons:
Limited low-light performance due to the small sensor size.
Not as effective for wide-field stargazing compared to binoculars.
    ----------------------------------------------------------
    Celestron Skymaster 15-35x Giant Binoculars
    Key Features:
Zoom Capability: Variable magnification from 15x to 35x, allowing for a wide range of uses, from stargazing to long-distance terrestrial viewing.
Aperture: Large 70mm objective lenses for excellent light-gathering ability, crucial for night sky observations.
Field of View: A wider field of view compared to cameras, making it easier to observe large celestial objects like star clusters or terrestrial scenes.
Portability: Lighter than the Coolpix P1000 but still substantial (approx. 1.5 kg/3.3 lbs). Typically used with a tripod for stability.
Ease of Use: Simple to operate, with no batteries or digital controls required.
Use Cases: Perfect for amateur astronomy, birdwatching, and observing distant terrestrial objects.
    Pros:
Superior light-gathering for stargazing compared to most cameras.
Wide-field views for celestial and terrestrial observations.
No reliance on batteries or complex controls.
    Cons:
No ability to record or capture images/video.
Requires steady hands or a tripod for extended use.
Lower magnification compared to the P1000’s zoom capabilities.
    Verdict:
Choose the Nikon Coolpix P1000 if your focus is capturing detailed images or videos, especially of distant terrestrial or celestial objects.
Opt for the Celestron Skymaster Binoculars if your goal is immersive stargazing or wide-field terrestrial observation without the need for capturing media.

At 01:20; are those the settings you used for the Nikon P1000 in this video?
Were both recordings at the exact same time (i.e. under the exact same light, heat & haze/smog conditions)?
BTW thank you for that comparison.
I love my P1000 and am always looking for other's video examples and settings, thanks.
