Young Concert Band - Grade 3
One of the most endearing musicals of all time is this Disney classic featuring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke. From top to bottom the quality and appeal of all the songs is unmatched. This medley is a guaranteed audience favorite and includes: Step in Time, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Chim Chim Cher-ee, Feed the Birds and A Spoonful of Sugar.

This piece always takes me back to the best performance I've ever had with our senior concert band. For once a bassoon part that did something
The bassoon part for me looks boring as it’s only on the Bassline, jay bocook and Micheal brown’s arrangements are wayyy more interesting but you do you :)
senior?? im doing this in our freshman year
this brings back soo many emotions, i love it
This film was absolutely legendary. One of my favourites of all time
This is amazing im showing this to my music teacher. Thank you
I'm playing this before we go on our Disneyland band trip :sunglasses: Mallet Percussion!
heck yeah! mallet percussion for life!!
Mallet percussion 4 life!!!
MALLET PERCUSSION SQUAD >:D
This one's for you, Yondu...
I‘m gonna go cry now
I believe this can also be called the intro to Mary Poppins
We're playing it this year, 1st clarinet !
Me to
Me too in the school orchestre... I play the 2nd flute
Clarinet is the BEST
Also playing this at the moment, first horn!
@@jurrestraatsma5442 nice I played it last auttumn , 4th horn :)
I would find it ironic if a marching band played Step In Time for a parade or for a halftime show
Mine is this year.
Hm, ironic
The first part is basically the overture for the movie!
That Timp part is tricky as hell
I really like this piece. We played this a year ago. The Advance and Intermediate Band played this together. I was only a freshman in Intermediate. (3rd clarinet)
Hannah the Musician Oh, I'm 1st clarinet and it's amazing!
I would have loved to play 1st clarinet then, but one of the clarinets said that I should play a lower part since I wasn't very good. I still practice this song once in a while. It's so much fun to play. I thought it was amazing as well. The bad part that I hated about this song was the offbeats in the "Spoonful full of Sugar." I love off beats now. Probably because it's so easy.
Hannah the Musician So agree with you! I really love the offbeat. Us, we're 6 clarinets; two 1st clarinet, two 2nd clarinet and two 3rd clarinet. I'm the one with the most experiment, so I learned 1st clarinet sheet
I love any clarinet whether it's 1st, 2nd, or 3rd clarinet. Anytime I sight read or play Hal Leonard's sheet music, I always start with 1st clarinet because most of the time, 1st clarinet is a little more difficult than the other two. In my advance band (because I'm in it now), I'm am getting alot of 1st clarinet parts because I'm lead clarinet because there are only two clarinet in my clarinets in my group (if you include the bass clarinet, it's three) And I love challenging myself to playing more difficult music. I can sight read perfectly up to Grade 3 music. And I love sight reading because it's so easy for me. Do you like sight reading?
I do love sight reading, but for me it's very stressfull. I'm in a school band (secondary 3 in my country, I don't know what's the school year at yours) and I really like it. I'm just fourteen years old, so I continue to learn music things everyday. I began clarinet at twelve years old. And you?
oooooo this piece is so cool
were playing this in our 6-8 grade band
Playing it loving it (3rd Trumpet)
We play it this year! It sounds really nice! I Play the drumset!

This is literally just the Mary Poppins overture arranged for concert band.
the sax and trumpet and french horn parts suck
Hentai Haven Someone's a little jealous that they don't have the leading part lmaoo
Tbh the only people who should be allowed to complain are the low reeds and brass
