At first I thought that something happened that was keeping you from vlogging but then I remembered that you all were busy trying to get everything done to move to the Philippines. I'm happy that you found more property to buy for extra income or whatever your plans are for the apartments. It's great to see your videos again. Good luck with everything and enjoy your retirement in the Philippines.

Wow you two are going strong, but real estate is almost never a bad investment it only goes up in value usually.

Scott you and Cecille have become Landlords. You are preparing well, and from what you are saying you are well on your way to strengthening your Financial hand in preparation for Retirement down the road. Congratulations to you both. Those are some good moves that will pay dividends for many years to come.

Good investment in the Philippines is that land or lot property than can make a commercial place in the future.Mostly along the highway.

When I was in highschool my mum had a 3 unit apartment built on vacant land she bought in Philippines before I was even born. My dad is a retired US Veteran (retired when he was mid 40's). My experience was we would spend time cleaning filthy messes renters left. Wonders that paint can just wipe out roach poop, grease stains, holes, scratches and stains. We've had to deal with renters who lost their jobs and cant pay. My dad had to be the one to give them the boot, something he didn't like and he wasn't interested in making money to begin with because he had a pension that even if its not lot, good health and no stress is more important than money. Many times he disliked being a landlord and its not worth the stress and aggravation according to him. He got tired of fixing broken toilets and sinks over the years so just told tenants to fix it themselves and he deduct it from the rent. My dad is in his 90's now. Cant expect him to come running to fix little problems at his age. I think he is not wrong. If you make enough from pension or retirement, landlord stress might not be worth it. My mom wanted to keep chasing money and do businesses. My Dad just wanted spend his retirement years prolonging his life. Mom stressed bad when the rentals were vacant and pass the problems to my Dad to fix. This is what they had bad arguments over. Anyway, I'm not saying rental property isnt bad, but there were stress points. My mum died land rich (she own all the properties while Dad was all the cash). My dad remarried someone 25 years younger. My mum lived a simple life and indulged in no luxuries in life. I along with my siblings will inherit the rentals and farms they worked so hard and fought for. My only wish is to give my dad the best of things. But my dad doesn't care for status, expensive luxuries, and tokens of success. His only passion after retiring from the military was playing tennis and when he couldn't play anymore... currently ballroom dancing.
