I love the Sophie Campbell cover for TMNT 40th. The main cover is sweet also. There's a 1:50 variant by Dave Wachter that is pretty sweet also. Unfortunately that one is pretty expensive because it's a ratio variant, but I have an original art page from TMNT done by Dave Wachter so it is tempting to get.
I’m with you on Batman and Robin. I’m pulling it until Williamson’s run is done too. I suspect that book is done despite him saying he knew who was taking it over. It feels too much like DC is doing something line-wide in the fall.
It’s funny for Transformers you said the human characters are what’s keeping you in the story, while the movies for a lot of people the human characters is what takes them out.
@@epcarter6 absolutely. I think that’s the magic of Daniel Warren Johnson. He just writes compelling human stories. Don’t get me wrong, the bots will tug at your heart strings too. But the humans are where it’s at in my opinion.
As someone who is getting back into comics coming from the 90s, I find that marvel and DC are at their best from the golden age to the 90s. With some good stuff in the early 2000s. All i collect today is spider boy, spider man, some spiderverse stuff, and dan slott, who I thiknk captures a balance of retro nostalgia and modern day. Spiderboy is super fun and family friendly so I can share it with my fam. Xmen hasnt been good since clairmont, and Im enjoying spending my money on all the older xmen books instead of anything after the 90s. So much better reads and smarter investment as well!

Hey BJ, are you going to binge read all those batman and robin issues after you get to #13? Also, when it comes to tie-ins I think if it were really important they'd include it in the main series.
@@comicsaredope Appreciate you clearing that up for me, thank you. I have enjoyed all three but if I had to cut one it would be Geiger. Rook Exodus is my favourite book of the three, Jason Fabok's art on Rook is next level IMO. Hope you enjoy the trades.
@@nukeybrown5732 they just announced their horror stuff, Hyde Street and a one-shot called Devour releasing in October. Then Rocketfellers (the one I'm really excited for) and Hornsby & Halo coming from Tomasi and Manapul in November.
@@comicsaredope Hyde Street was my favourite from the one-shot but also interested in Rockefellers, thanks for the reminder though, will ensure I let my LCS know I'm interested. Look forward to possible phase 2 ghost machine coverage, or if not possible, will hopefully catch you down here in the comment section once a few issues have been released.
